Tell us something really trivial about your life (vol 24)
Discussion
Has anyone ever thought that Band Aid is very patronising to Africans?
"There won't be snow in Africa this Christmas time."
Who woulda thunk it? No snow in the summer?
"Do they know it's Christmas time at all?"
Considering that a great deal of Africa is Christian, they probably do, yes.
And some others
"Where nothing ever grows, no rain or rivers flow"
So the Nile? I've been in rain in Africa plenty of times.
"The only water flowing is the bitter sting of tears"
To me that suggests that Africans just sit around crying.

Refer to the True Length of Week/Apparent Length of Week Graph. We're at the point where the down turn in the curve moves into the almost vertical phase. There was a brief one in the summer when you were on holiday if you remember.Mr Roper said:

Save your theatricals until you're still alone around 10:45.
