So today I learned(learnt?) that forgetting about bills isn't a good idea. I just got a court summons for unpaid council tax! Whoops.

I won't have to actually go to court, I'll just cough up the money on Monday but still it made me think twice about being so casual about things like that.

I've just taken an unexpected phone call... It would appear my middle son has been invited to some Premier football, his most favourite, loves, runs an FB fan group, obsessed with, club and their executive box to watch them play.

Do you think I should mention it to him? I mean, it's just football.

Exec boxes aren't easy to get into/invited to so he'll probably disown you if you don't tell him wink

Great Aunt Betts had a stereo in the seventies. She thought the manufacturers had applied a pet name to the front it to save her the inconvenience of making one up for herself. She called it her Hiffy.

H, I, F, I, pronounced Hiffy.

First post in one of these threads. Better make it a good 'un.

There's a banana on my desk which simply won't ripen. It's three conjoined siblings have long since mellowed and have in turn been consumed but the single solitary remaining bean is still uniform green.
Sounds like trouble that one.
Get some ripe bananas, stick the recalcitrant podule and the ripe ones in a plastic bag for 24 hrs, and it should 'tip it over the edge'. Then have a banana blowout.

I'm wondering if I should start a thread elsewhere because I'm not sure the ongoing saga of the green banana is trivial anymore.
