"Bagpuss gave a big yawn, and settled down to sleep. And when Bagpuss goes to sleep, all his friends go to sleep too. The mice are ornaments on the Mouse Organ, Gabriel and Madeleine are just dolls. And Professor Yaffle is just a carved wooden book-end in the shape of a woodpecker. Even Bagpuss himself, once he is asleep, is just an old, saggy cloth cat - baggy and a bit loose at the seams. But Emily loved him."

Just been pulled over for doing 90 MPH in a 40 MPH. Luckily he didn't clock me, but knew I was doing silly speeds. My arse has completely fallen out. So, so, so lucky not to lose my licence.

So you thought you'd post the confession on a public forum. Smooth.

Morning all.

Do any TTers reside in the vicinity of Newbury, and would they fancy moonlighting as a parcel courier? Due to a combination of administrative errors on the part of an ebay vendor and my Rainman-esque communication skills a drunken purchase has gone horribly wrong; can you rescue it from almost certain money-wastage?
No TT samaritans in the shire of Berks? frown Bobbins
Mate! I missed this. Don't know how. Yes, Chez Dicky is in Newbury. What can I do for you?

Just seen the youtube trailer for the new Jurrassic park film... it could be brilliant. Or a huge dissapointment, the trailer is looking good so far though

Get away! On the Andover Road? Never been in it, I'm ashamed to say! This is a fault I must rectify.

Yep, probably about 20 - 30 years ago now but that's where my wife grew up, living in the flat above it. I went in there for a few pints a couple of years ago, not the nicest of pubs but also not the worst. smile

It looks st.

Sorry, but a 'genetically, modified, hybrid' dinosaur? WTF? As if they aren't scary or unknown enough already. It makes absolutely no sense.

The only bit that vaguely interested me was the sea world type performing creature. Other than that hugely disappointed. Gremlins was more believable than this tripe fourth instalment.

Sounds good to me. I don't think they were intending on making a David Attenborough documentary.

The first time I went to Newbury was to work for Plenty in 1990 - then loads of stuff happened - and then Mrs-C-to-be gave me my own key in '92 or '93. What a good feeling that was.

I was in bed from about midnight until 7am and didn't fall asleep once.

My eyes hurt. I don't have time for this!
