Job interview done. I think my responses were good and thorough although at the end of one, the dreaded words: "You've not really answered the question, Fun Bus" were uttered.

House clean, ironing done, have work tomorrow now for the gym and then a night to myself.

"You've not really asked the right question, Mr Interviewer." wink

Good luck. When do you find out?

Pig or cow?
The bacon was pig, the gammon was pig and the sausages were probably pig, so I'll go with pig.
Pig it is tonight.

It will go to a second stage which could be January. I'm not 100% that I want the role though.

The apprentice is being particilarly annoying today... I may have to hunt for the biggest spider I can and hide it in his locker.
How do you know who it is, the show's not even finished yet!
I'm psychic...

You know what I meant.

And I found this and left it in his locker evil

Other than a vehicle you can legally drive on the road?

£230 for twelve months... 2286cc petrol from 1975 so it's calculated on the old CC system rather than emissions and I missed out on the pre 1974 tax exempt status by 2 months.

TDF fair point

If it roles over then yes... unless the government does what it did when it was first introduced and freeze it... again

We shall see

It also means applying for tax exempt status some time next year... they don't do it automatically, that'd be too easy wink

Evening,

It would seem as though our next door neighbour has a new friend with a rather nice Mk7.5 Ford Fiesta ST-3. If the tempting lease deals are still around early next year, I may be persuaded to sign on the dotted line...

Driving home last night in the mist in the dark, I did that satisfying thing of seeing someone was going to need to change lanes and accommodating them. It was a female lady of the opposite persuasion. I eased up, flashed my headlights, she moved out, gave me two flashes of her hazard lights and then...

put her rear foglights on. Really, girl? You've put them on because...? Because I can't see you? I just let you out yer dozy cow. How can you possibly think I can't see you? I do you a favour and want to burn holes in my retinas.

Grrr.

Grrr.

Tonight, I had an almost opposite experience of yours Dicky - kinda. The railway barriers were down and I pulled up behind a 1987 Mini with no rear lights showing on it. For a moment I thought the girl had switched off her lights altogether, but noticed the headlamps reflecting on the car in front. I was about to go and scare the beejus out of her by tapping on her window politely let her know of her car's problem when the crossing became clear and traffic started moving.

As her little car bounced over the railway tracks both rear lights came on. Fixed! biggrin
