Morning.

My brother came in the office earlier, sniffing the air he asked 'Huh, have you just eaten KFC?'

'Of course not' was my reply. For one it's a 30 mile round trip to KFC...and two, it was about 9:30am.

He left confused and hungry for chicken.

What he smelt was my guff.

Keeping it food related.

I've just had my first Mince pie of the year and it was very nice.

FYI
It was the '6 Luxury All Butter Mince Pies' bought from my local Spar. I paid £2 which I thought was very reasonable.

Good morning.

I have heating! The house is warm! Thank fk for that.

Had a very eager chap from ratedpeople turn up yesterday. He proceeded to replace the thermocouple and gas valve on my boiler for a very reasonable £250 including parts. I thought we'd agreed a slightly higher price so was somewhat shocked when he came back in the house just now to give me back £80... Nice to know there are still decent people about smile

He's now coming back to powerflush the system, for £250 as opposed to the £750 that British Gas want...

I'm a happy boy.

ION - I need to go the Apple store Covent Garden to collect my new/replaced iPhone 5 today. Could really do without it as I feel like st still.

They've made a movie about Trivial Towers - I don't remember being told about the casting taking place?
They want Jason Statham to play my role, but he was busy with Transporter 16, so they had to settle for Danny DeVito. Close enough.
John Belushi's corpse played me.
Who played me?
Timothy Spall, I think.

Last year we found out that a South African friend had never had a mince pie before.

He was amazed when he bit into it - he thought it would be like a bite size shepherd's pie hehe

Apple store is quieter than usual.

Brand new iPhone 5, no charge to me. Result.

Now to see what they're going for on eBay hehe

Be rude not to go for a few beers while I'm here too.

On Wednesday night it was our works Christmas do, a pleasant Italian restaurant in the centre of Bournemouth, I had fillet steak which was superb. THe evening ended up with us explaining to the owner of our company exactly what Cottaging is. The dogging debacle of last year was awkward enough...

Ah, so you did go on a road trip.

That explains everything. The "there is no road trip" ploy was an effective deflection.
