I could show you ,I have a chicken in the fridge which I could do a number on ,but it's probably easier to Google a pic. 'Lift' the skin from the neck end (pinch it with your fingers) and wiggle butter between the skin and the meat, right the way down to the tip of the breast.
Or, if ready-stuffed, roast it skin side down so the fat from the stuffing can permeate into the meat. Turn it skin side up for the last 1/2 hour or so to colour the skin.
