So what do we think the UK will be like in 50yrs from now?
Discussion
England and Wales will be a region of the EU, a federal state and superpower. Scottish independence from Westminster will look like a bit of a joke, since neither will really have much autonomy any more. Tensions on its Chinese and Middle Eastern borders will have pushed EU militarisation, leading to worsening relations with the USA and China. If we are lucky, we might have a cold war.
The entire financial system and then the government will collapse. Power will dissolve down to local communities and we will all have to chip in together. We will all be responsible for food, water and sanitation in the areas we live. People will have harder lives but will be happier as they are less complicated and more in control.
Either that or we keep struggling away as we are and not a huge amount of progress is made.

My son is mixed-race, my partner non-white and I risk a flaming but I fear Enoch Powell's speech may become prohetic.
Enoch Powell's speech became true a good few years ago I'm afraid. This country 50 years from now? It will be unrecognisable if something isn't done quickly. It definitely will be no Great Britain!

Did it? Rivers of blood. Where was that then? From what I can see, most of the time, most of the people, mostly get on with each other just fine. A few s of all creeds and colours excepted. But that was always the case.TwigtheWonderkid said:
