White British.
Yes, it's terrible that I am surrounded by white American, white Canadian, white Australian, white New Zealand, white French, German, Spanish, Italian etc families all making me a minority in the capital city where I live.

That's before we even get to all of those people who are not white!

It's a struggle to work up the courage to walk out of the house in the morning.

I appreciate everyone has their own opinion
And being relativley young at 40yrs old!, but even in my lifetime i have seen lots of changes.
Most has been progress.
But i feel people need to go out and see different areas, as im all for different cultures etc.
But i find that lots of areas have pockets of people from different cultures, wherby they have no intention of changing to intergrate. They seem to want everyone around them to change to allow for their culture / religion whatever it may be.

Judging by many people response i can only guess that they base their liberal views on their experiances with the many who come here and have succesfully intergrated. Or are second or third generation etc
Whereas their are huge numbers that make no effort to intergrate.

Im happy enough for the progression of laws and other bits and pieces, but dont feel i should fundamentaly change my family and my own way of life , to allow for others that show no intrest in this country as it stands.

Overall i dont see the country heading in a positive direct, and the sooner everyone accepts we are not a happy clappy loving mix of cultures the better.
As the cold hard truth is not everyone gets on in life, as demonstrated by people of the same culture , never mind those that may not share common intrests.

Their are more than enough people coming here that have and are willing to fit in! as such. But its the rest that are and will cause more alienation between the different segments of society.

Aside from this, their is what i feel is a sub class of white british non and working class (usual on the side whilst claiming) that are also dragging us down. The Jeremy Kyle set are a one way valve, stripping what they can from society. The sooner measures are taken to prevent this and instill better values so that the Kids having Kids brigade pass on a better attitude. we will all benefit

OK, mike, give us one example of how you have been forced to change your life because of immigration.

(going for a curry on a Friday night doesn't count)

You live in Skipton for Heaven's sake. Apart from the odd curry house, there's hardly a brown face to be seen. Yes, there are Pakistanis in Keighley and Bingley now (there were none when I was growing up), but Skipton?

On simple terms immigration i have no issue with
econimic migration i do, and the invisible effect on the pound in my pocket and the value of it does

Immigration has an effect on me daily, from the so called housing shortage. Through to class numbers in schools etc
The fact i moved from an area to another so that my kids could be brought up and school in what i feel is a better area

all stemming from seeing the last few years of my own schooling, go from normal. to having buses of children from the inner city and of a different ethinic background start (due to school policy ) coming to the school i went to.
made if funny having running battles after school so i could just get to the end of the street and walk home.
the then regular police patrols turning up to allow us to walk out safely. and from a different perspective, them walk out safely

to the first time i had a fight in school and the first thing out of the teachers mouth was, was this a a racist attack lol
sometimes race doesnt come into it. having to sit opposit a prat in physics does!
especially when he came round to my side of the table to take a swing at me. the fact he missed and he got a slap back makes it laughable that it was me that got sent to the headmaster

So you could argue immigration and its effects have moulded my perspective

But im certainly not against immigration. just feel like many things in life it needs to be controlled.
As i have many muslim friends, who i get on with a lot more than the majority of so called White people i would happily never see again.

While I am sure the country won't turn into a 3rd world muslamic sthole overnight, am I the only person who finds the way we've turned a blind eye to what happened recently in Tower Hamlets extremely worrying? You don't need a majority if you have a pack of postal votes stuffed down your pants!

No, the country does face some difficulties in the near future though; Trust me on this one. People who are in their 20's today will retire without a pot to piss in because of the following:

1) Having to buy a useless, worthless degree to be even considered for a role that doesn't involve the words "Do you want fries with that?". You start life with a £30-40k loan meaning you're effectively on 40% tax as soon as you get a job that pays a reasonable living wage.
2) Preposterous house prices meaning that more won't be able to buy at all.
3) Ending of defined benefit pensions. The amount you need to put away makes new-for-old money pensions useless.
4) The three points above compounded by wage erosion due to importing cheap labor from overseas or just exporting the jobs.

Who's going to pay for their retirement?

Power and water demands as the population grows are a problem too as we've simply left it too long now. We should have been building power stations 10 years ago. Instead we're closing them down.

And the three most important extracts from it:
1. Those from the European Economic Area (EEA - the EU plus Norway, Iceland and Liechtenstein)... in the decade up to 2011, contributing 34% more in taxes than they received in benefits.
2. Immigrants from outside the EEA contributed 2% more in taxes than they received in the same period, the report showed.
3. Over the same period, British people paid 11% less in tax than they received.

ETA: Evidence of benefit tourism being alive and well. It's just not from abroad but from one's White British house to the Jobcentre.

Why is it that every time a white person speak out, it is immediately called racist? Most of my best friends aren't white, they still prefer their own, but I don't call them racist. Just we get along fine. Most of the time it's do gooding whites who shout racist. I don't mind the non white people, but I just wish they would respect our laws, our culture, and try to integrate. Ghettos should be banned. Street signs should be written in English. English should be the first language of everyone born here. No new religious buildings should be allowed for any religion. Integrate, or get out. If you don't like it here... Leave.

Totally agree. Sadly the deluded amongst us will soon be along to shout racist.

These people do more harm to this country than anyone else. Sad times.

I read somewhere that each past generation think things are getting worse but in reality with every generation, we get wealthier, healthier, better educated and live longer.

I'm surprised nobody has mentioned killer robots yet...
Surely in 50 years when quantum computing is well under way the computing power of robots will be far larger than the human brain and they will take over the world?

It's racist when your complaining about foreigners because they're different. It's what a race is...?

I'm certainly not saying people shouldn't integrate when they come here, but to say the place is going to turn into an extremist muslim state is nonsense.

Also a question, what about those British parts of Spain for example? You better go and protest there, because British people are some of the worse nationalities in the world for integrating when abroad (said as a British person who is abroad and stealing johhnie foreigner's job and ripping off the country by paying 44% tax or so - you know, like many of the immigrants in the UK, wink).
