The thing that pisses me off about the ice challenge is none say why there doing it, what the disease is , a website to learn more.

They just say who nominated them, do it then give there nominations, still i guess there happy with the increase in there page views.
I few have said why they're doing it and where to find out more, for example George W Bush did a little spiel rather than just 'I nominate...' (can't link as I can't get on Youtube at work but I'm sure Google will point you to it).

It is a bit annoying seeing all the ones pop up, but most of them don't mention anything to do with it really. It's great to see awareness of this disease highlighted though, even if I don't know anyone with it. One of the better challenges I saw also had examples of how it might be like - for example to eat food while holding weights, sit in a chair and don't move your arms, legs etc for 15 mins and things like that. It must be horrific.

It's interesting that here in Norway during winter there was a similar challenge - jump in the sea (quite cold!) and give money to charity (but it wasn't ALS). One or two people did die there I think though.

The best one I have seen by far is a builder having a huge digger bucket dump water on him, then a skip load of water hehe it knocks him flying and bends the chair he's on haha

I enjoyed 50cent's take on it (a bit of swearing in it so may not be SFW)

Anyone who doesn't think this is good I suggest you search for the video of Daisy Lowe doing it. You might change your mind.

And for those who haven't seen it this explains the disease a bit and is really quite sad:

I've nailed the art of refusing to do the ice bucket challenge and simultaneously made people experience anger and then guilt.

"So, you've not done the ice bucket challenge yet, eh?"
"Nope, and I will refuse to do it and not donate anything either..."
Cue flicker of anger appearing on their faces.
"... because I already do voluntary work for a cancer charity for one afternoon a week."
