I don't care - off to Barcelona tomorrow hehe
This is getting silly. We go via Toronto and arrive in Barce Tuesday morning , found out friends down the road are on the same flights , and also some mates from Britain arriving the time day . Could be party central this week . No snow either .
26 degrees tomorrow...

Sucks to be stuck in an exhibition hall all day before flying home. Tapas on Las Ramblas now smile

Looks like we're starting to get winter more properly in north Norway now, so will be more promising for you guys. Arrived back from holiday today and it was a bit icy so was wondering how the car would do on summer tyres. No fireballs so that is promising, although the wheels should get changed tomorrow morning I think.

Pic of stormy grey cloud (shelf cloud?) was taken on Friday as a prelude to a really intense downpour of heavy rain accompanied by thunder which had come up from France, following a warm fine day. Since then we've been stuck in a regime of showery rain mixed with bright spells and quite breezy at times. October is still giving some fine sunsets though.

hehe I love express articles:

"It is autumn and this sort of weather is not unusual."
In other words the whole story is about normal autumnal weather. Brilliant.

Thought I'd already bookmarked this.

Not sure if the statistics support it but it seems to have been incredibly mild for as long as I can remember, not holding out too much hope for a decent snowfall this winter. But I know better than to second guess our odd little islands weather 2-3 months before winter arrives.

I think it's going to snap in late October/early November, probably to rain. We generally get more winter in January anyway than in November / December.

My money, completely unscientifically, but based on what I'd like to happen is on a bright cold December and a snowy January and early February

It's very rare to get snow in December anyway...late Jan/Feb are the usual times.

Stop being mean. He's only just got over the trauma of it all (as have we with regards to his angst filled postings!)

Did someone say snow? Gonzalo now has forced MetOffice to warn of high winds over parts of England/Scotland (mainly north of Anglesey-London) and it could also allow cold air in behind it - so hill snow possible. Nothing major, just the first real chances.

In a couple of weeks time it will be expected that we should change to winter tyres in Luxembourg. It was 22c yesterday and will be about the same today. We regularly get lower than -10c and snow, but I can't see it happening here for a while yet!

My brother lives in the Chicago 'burbs and they had their first snow about 4 weeks ago. It didn't stay long fortunately. They're dreading another Arctic blast as they had last winter.

I'm taking the shop part of my website to Camden Market for the first time on 10th November.

I don't care if it's cold, just promise me there won't be a former hurricane sweeping by!
