A random side effect of the cold front coming over is that my Fitbit thinks I have climbed more stairs than I actually have as it uses a pressure sensor to track altitude. According to my calculations pressure has changed by the equivalent of 90ft in height over lunchtime here in London City.
I read that and at first thought why is his wife/girlfriend doing that....hehe

That's quite interesting actually. For science geek stuff 'n that.
It is a common thread on the Fitbit forums asking why the floor count is way out. I did find out that pilots have to manually correct their altimeters after passing through fronts for the same reason. And yes, I am a bit of a Geek.

Blizzard blowing through North Lanarkshire at the moment. The M8 is going to be a real sense of humour test come five o'clock, especially for those coming off at the Junction six roadworks.

Clear now, bloody sun is out lol. Delayed by 15 min according to the board.

Belfast City will be the problem I think, particularly with the wind.

About 3.30 we had what looked like hail starting, the ground was covered within 2 minutes, and since then we have had several short blasts of blizzard conditions (west yorkshire near the m62)

Here in the West Lancs/ Merseyside border at about 16:30 we had a small hail shower...followed about 10-15 mins later by the briefest of snow showers..... That's probably it for us....
