It's a little known fact Ferrari went into tractor production to spite Lamborghini for trying to spite Ferrari, or something.

Where is the A6 Shap pic taken from? I use that road most nights in my truck and there is no lighting along the road once past the quarry so how are you getting illuminated pics of the road?
All the cameras use Infra Red lamps for night images, unless of course there's some nearby street lighting. For the solar sites the lamps are triggered on a timer by the camera as they use a lot of power (comparatively).

Inch or so and lying.

Supposed to get more during the night. smile

Typically the M8 was it's usual non cleared shambles when i was on it, only to be cleared afterwords. hehe

I did take the old farm road for a short cut home as people were making a mess of getting up a local hill, coupled with a lorry stuck near the top. So went the shortcut and bypassed the lot. biggrin

Has anyone been keeping an eye on the US east coast weather situation? 3ft of snow forecast and New York received a mere couple of inches which had all melted by the afternoon. rofl
Well I can safely state that is a load of old testicles. Manhattan (which is where I cam currently) had upto 10" and other than the roads it is mostly still there and yes I still have snow on the window ledge.

3 hours after parking a clear car on the driveway, it's covered 2 inches deep with drifts building at the wheels.
Should make tomorrow fun as it's got van duties to perform and I've a nice big hill to climb a few times. biggrin

Queensbury.
Very windy last night but not as much snow as expected.
Snowing hard now though, temp hovering around freezing, barometer still dropping.
Some local schools closed due to current conditions and threatened forecast.

Landed in Blackburn, Lancs.. Just in time for the morning rush hour - luckily I'm in early.. When will people learn to drive to the conditions?

Woken up to a light frost here in west London.

Netweather has now dropped to 21% chance of snow at lunch time and 43% chance of snow this evening, no doubt those chances will drop further through the day frown

Whiteout in Macclesfield. Very poor road conditions. Cat's open - some of North Derbyshire is pretty bad. Have to go over the hill to Buxton then Crewe, let's hope there's not too many numpties on the roads.

I'm only about 4 miles from you, I couldn't even get out the estate this morning. Didn't expect that tbh.

Cumbria/Lake District: woke up about an hour ago to a proper winter wonderland! biggrin

It's several inches deep and a really good covering on everything, roads included.

All the Schools are closed, the local kids are out playing in it, traffic is in chaos, the police look like they don't know where to start, and I've just emailed work to say I'm working from home.
My mate has just texted me suggesting we get my Kawasaki 4x4 quad bike out and tow his 4 year old boy up the fields on a sledge at 30mph.

Perfect smile

And people wonder why the participants of this thread always want snow...
