Nope Wales and England, the rain coming in from the South hasn't displaced the colder air as quickly as expected so some sleetiness on front edge.

Does that officially make Autumn 2014 snowier than Autumn 2013?

For sure! It was only a few flakes for a few seconds, though.

We've also had two frosts already this autumn in the village. That's officially one more frost than we saw all winter last year.

Down to zero here today, Wife went to car (Audi A2 on winters) wouldn't start (Hasn't been used for a while and she forgot to plug trickle charger in).

So let her take the Toyota.

So what car to take to work. RR on winters or TVR... It's sunny so TVR biggrin

So we're both on summers today...

Snowed again last night. Only a couple of mm, though. The temp is loitering around freezing right now...and due to be 22c on Friday.

It's pissing down here. I got the car valeted yesterday. That was pointless.

The good news is the Rayburn is behaving well (although, it does have a funny "whooshing" noise, which I have a suspicion is the one part that is rare as rocking horse st to source and about £2.5k to fix the start of the dreaded leak in the hot water tank contained within it)

I don't get the obsession with snow, all it does is cost a fortune in heating bills and makes getting to work a pain in the ass, then the numpties crash and push up our insurance bills.

It wouldn't be so bad if we could actually cope with it like the Nordic countries, as it is we're woeful at it.

If it is a gas one, that's the sound of money burning.

I have places that I can go and enjoy the snow without worrying about the retards. Yes I shouldn't like it as I lose loads of money when it does but at least I can have some fun instead!

You are correct, it's Oil (there be no gaaas in that there villaaage). To compound my permanent sponsorship of both OPEC and James The Rayburn Man, it's our only source of heating, hot water and cooking much to my chagrin.

The Met Office have a billion pound supercomputer and we have the far more reliable 'Schmalex Rayburn'. If that's on the blink there's cold coming!

We did used to have a backup but Bill's a quitter tongue out

Last 2 days had a heavy frost over night in south east wales also had a very small amount of sleet around 10am today as well missed within the very light rain. Hardly anything but a lot more than last winter.
