I remember that last year. I think the general thread concensus was that Bill was a wuss for going to the dark side and choosing heat and reliability over expense and frustration. wink

Snowed again last night. Only a couple of mm, though. The temp is loitering around freezing right now...and due to be 22c on Friday.
That's just crazy weather!!!

I have a colleague who works from home in Breckenridge. His board is permanently waxed and ready for action. Jammy gits!!

I've said it before, but it does really depend on who you are and what you do as to whether or not you like it.

I overheard a colleague talking to some people; he and his wife moved to the mountains (not sure where exactly) in CO. They lasted one winter and would never do it again. Lots of being snowed in, shoveling, and not being able top do much for weeks on end. Fine if you like that sort of thing, but easy to get cabin fever.

There shall be no snow this winter, as I am about to purchase a set of snow chains for my Land rover!

I have put the winter wheels on the BMW, also fitted all season tyres to the wifes A4 cab and I have put fresh winter tyres on the Berlingo (dog van, dump run car) so she can use it if the A4 is still a bit crap in the snow.

I can confidently say that it will snow properly after the 2nd of December. That's the day I go offshore for two weeks.
I haven't driven in proper snow for three years now because it only snows when I'm not here.

Whatever the MET predicts, think of the exact opposite and that will generally happen.

This.

Someone's going to get it wrong on the 10th Dec, MO are saying wet and mild, but on the forums of NET WEATHER the next ice age is coming...

I just want some cold crisp weather, Snow is too much to expect, its the exception rather than the rule in this country, so just a bit of dry chilliness.

A good sign, they are never accurate with their "forcasts". biggrin
