My little terrace house is already down to 15/16c without the heating. Think this might be an expensive winter on gas! I'm from the country and a little hardy though, so no need for the heating just yet biggrin

Wish we actually had snow...

I'm enjoying this cooler weather, got my fluffy dressing gown and lovely warm socks. There's just something about autumn that leads one to feeling very comfy with very little effort.

Agreed.

I also like the dark evenings - I do less and relax more!

All the time the sun in shining there is always work to be done...

No snow this winter, the steam coming out of DJRC's ears will put pay to that hehe

Heard the good old "Worst winter in 100 years on its way" bullst on the radio this morning.. *yawn*.

Quite a bit of rain this week but pressure has been steady and its been in the mid to upper teens.

Only 90 mins late.

To be fair my Rome - Heathrow travails have been an all summer long thing. The flight has never left on time all summer. Doesn't matter on which day or whether it's the afternoon, tea time, early evening or late evening plane...none of them have ever left on time. To balance things the flight from Heathrow on Tues at 7.00 got cancelled entirely and a new aircraft had to be dragged out of the hanger...that was a 3hr delay!

But as I'm scheduled to be doing this most of winter what do we think the combinations of Italians plus winter is going to produce? Apart from my heart attack of course tongue out

Oh a ph note when I picked the car up from the poncy valet at Heathrow, there was a rather lush evil looking F12 in brilliant black in the bay next to me smile I do like the classical shape of the F12!

Will be a close run thing between where gets snow first...Munich or work up in the Appennines. It snowed in Munich this time last yr...

The Heathrow - Rome, Rome - Heathrow flights haven't left on time all summer, from either direction!

Brum - Muc is always the most reliable.

There's certainly a very deep depression forming mid-atlantic in the early part of next week.

Thanks for reminding me why I now work from home. I may be earning a bit less, but I've already spent enough of my life waiting in airports.

Next yr will be my last I think spikey. Take the hit on money, gain on hol, pensions etc and ditch the airport crap. I've had fun, I've enjoyed living in different places, it's bought me Donkeys, AMGs, etc, poncy holidays and after next yr a deposit for our home for the next 20yrs. Enough is enough, you can't spend your life just chasing the score no matter how much I like to play the we. As much as the bhing I do on this thread each yr, I have loved living in Alpine territory during winter, it can be a lot of fun. Winter done properly is magical.
