A female colleague of mine (5-6 years back) claimed not to have a gag reflex.

She was right.

I never used to believe the kid in my class at school who always claimed that his uncle was Barry Sheene.

He is Scott Smart, now a bike racer, and his uncle was Barry Sheene.

An old neighbour claimed he had murdered a builder he had a row with, when he had died we met his family who told us all about it. He killed the builder and his son served 19 for it and moved to Manchester to start a new life.

A family friend claimed to be a journalist who interviewed many A-list celebrities and went to parties etc with them. Strangely for a few years he always forgot to bring the photos of him meeting these people.

Then one day he remembered. They were all real....

There was a kid at school with a vaguely Greek name who claimed his Dad was into shipping, and back in Greece he had a huge mansion, and one in California, and his Dad got a brand new Corvette every year.

Trouble is, every half hols he was picked up by his Gran in either a Mini, or a Volvo estate. He claimed to spend every summer in his mansion in Greece, and other holidays in California, surfing and essentially living like Zach Morris. We had him down as a total bullstter until one summer his Dad had some business for a few months in the UK, and shipped his Corvette over.

He suddenly became the most popular kid around as we all got lifts to cricket matches in the Corvette.

Strangely enough i was going to post a story along these lines on the other thread last night.

Anyway, i work a lot of night shifts all over the place and get to meet all sorts of characters (the people on night shifts always seem a bit more odd than day shift workers) and there was this one particular job i was on and their manager was known as a compulsive bullstter.

Needless to say when i met him i could see where they were coming from. No matter what i said he had done bigger/better/faster etc. I mentioned to him one day that i had built a kit car to which he replied with that he used to race dragsters. Another time a colleague said he had bought a remote control helicopter, billy bullstter went onto say that he flies jet powered remote controlled planes. One day the weather was particularly bad and he went onto say how 5 of his huge trees had uprooted in his 20 acre garden.

Many of his colleagues doubted everything he was saying with their reason being that a guy doing the job he does could no way afford the sort of lifestyle he had claimed to live.

As the contract went on i found myself becoming more friendly with him, its strange how some people who you think youre going to dislike at first grown on you over time, and near the end of the contract during one lunch break he called me over and pulled out a photo album. in that photo album was a photo of almost every single 'claim' he had madeover the previous weeks. The drag racing, the jet powered plane, the huge property....

He then went on to say that he was fully aware of everyone thinking he was a bullstter but had no interest what so ever of proving any of them wrong. I found that restrain remarkable as if it was me i would have had that photo album out straight away!

Why did his son serve time for a murder the father committed?
Or is punctuation the real victim here wink

In our final year at school everyone was getting all exited about how they were getting to the prom. A few parents had hired a driver and a porsche or an aston, others went for a pink hummer limousine, army truck, etc etc. Being a drop out who blew all his money on cigarettes and alcohol I turned up half cut in a taxi, but that's a story for another time.

Anyway,

One of the lads said to my friend group he was gonna turn up in "that new Ferrari" he wasn't really a car fan, but we were massively. So we knew what he was talking about was in fact an Enzo. We all said "yeah sure" and rolled our eyes.

Prom night came and the usual array of vehicles turned up with grinning boys and noisy screaming girls jumping out, but by far the loudest and most glorious of noises was that of an unmistakeable bellowing V12 powered car thundering up the country mansion road.

Our jaws simply dropped as sure enough, like he said, he had came in an Enzo. Brand new, with its red body gleaming in the setting sun. After 30 seconds and a few snapshots later the Ferrari sped off. We ran over to the lad and asked who the hell owned that car? And he replied:

"My dad's mate Nick, that was his new car"

Im sure most of you can guess who it belonged to!

Thats right, smile he lives in a town that neighbours mine.

I've never met the guy, but I know hes a massive car bloke. Indeed many of the performance car sightings in the area have been attributed to him. In particular an Ariel Atom which I've spotted a few times.
