This is a very interesting topic to me being dyslexic so please excuse the spelling and grammar in this reply! I struggle to spell and write correctly and it’s one reason why I don’t post much on here......
Has anyone had a any experience of being tested for this as an adult?

I show many of the symptoms that I've read on sites, mixing left, right transposing letters and inverting them p b q d for eg so I'm relatively sure that dyslexia may be the cause. I understand there's ways to help for eg I've installed the Open Dyslexic Font and set it as a default in my browser and do find it helps speed up my reading. Apparently glasses with certain coloured lenses may also help while reading. But I've no idea where to get tested and buy the aids that are best suited.

Install a browser that has an automatic spell-check function (like Chrome). This will then allow you to see the words that you have miss-spelled, and correct them, thus learning.

It's what I do - and I'm horribly dyslexic.

Just right click on the words highlighted red on the screen and the correct spelling comes up.

Ergo you are a spelling genius
It won't help when faced with choosing the correct version from there, their and they're.

Numerous other examples are available.
'twas a tongue in cheek comment Mr. Singlecoil, tongue in cheek.
And pretty pointless then, as most tongue in cheek comments are.
Right. OK
