why send the calipers back? you just need to purchase the carriers,if you sent the calipers back then you would need to buy both again, just making no sence. But raise a case Ebay will refund you,as they always help the seller in general.

Why not approach the seller?

Wouldn't it be easier and cheaper to simply keep the calipers and buy the carriers for them?
Way too much sensible on this thread.

Next time, ask your mummy to help before using the Internet.

I am speechless, vegetables are allowed to use the internet and then want refunds because they cannot read.
Thank f**k I don't have to use Ebay, the tales I read on here astound me.
I really hope that Ebay don't get involved and force a refund.
You obviously cannot read either as the OP says that the listing said they would accept returns within 14 days and then refund.
But the OP has not posted the listing.

We haven't seen the terms.
I have a retail store and I am amazed at the amount of people who wander in and say "I bought this and have changed my mind, just whack it back on my card."
Err, no.
Why not?
OK, absolutely perfect example this morning.
Woman walks in and plops a bag down on the counter.
"Hi there, don't know if you remember me, I bought this Barbour back in the spring?"
"Yeah, I do remember, I served you and we held it for you so you could come in with your partner for him to see you in it."
"Yeah, well, I haven't worn it all summer and now the summer is nearly over I don't think I will, so could you just give me a refund please?"

"No sorry, we allow you 28 days to change your mind and swap it for something else, gift vouchers or a credit note. But this is now last seasons, we could have sold it 10 times over in the last few months, but the one size 18 we have left is now at £120 instead of £250."

"But I haven't worn it and I know my rights."

"Please don't give me 'I know my rights' as that will just wind me up, as obviously you don't. Haha. But look, we value you your custom and I am more than happy to swap it for something from this seasons collection, or you can have gift vouchers or a credit note for the full amount?"

"Sorry, you have to refund me, I know my rights"

"No we don't don't, if it is faulty then year, within 28 days but we will always refund up to 6 months old and often even a year depending on the brand, but just because you have changed your mind it is not going to happen."

"I will get Citizens Advice involved."

"Here you go, use our phone....."

Who then go to explain that even a credit note is above and beyond what is required and a gesture that should be grabbed.

I get maybe 1 person every 3 months at most give me that sort of cobblers, out of maybe 3000 customers every 3 months that is not a bad ratio.
If someone comes in and tries to find something else and can't we tend to refund, but when someone comes in babbling a load of cobblers about 'their rights' they are never going to get anything other than 'their rights'.

Off topic slightly and i hope OP that you get it sorted.

But his has to be one of THE most hideous, HIDEOUS comments on Pistonheads.
With comments like that....there should be a LAW stopping people like yourself from using the Internet.

Raise a case, eBay will provide you with a full refund if you provide proof that you've returned the item (tracking number from a courier company)

I know this as I sell on eBay, and the buyer is always right. Even when the buyer is extremely obviously completely wrong with proof, trust me, they are still right wink
