Saw this on FB last night and wanted to have a rant but my wife banned me as it's someone she knows better than me.... how do people like this pass their driving test?
Massive logic fail- he insists he WAS leaving a "safe stopping distance" (2 car lengths at 60mph
) and it was all the other drivers fault yet clearly by virtue of the fact he rammed the back of the other car he definitely wasn't...

Just did some quick back of the postcard calculations.
60mph = 26.8 meters per second.
2 second rule means you should leave a minimum of around 54 meters between you and the next car.
The car in the image looks like a Toyota Aygo which is 3.4m long - so he should have been leaving almost 16 car lengths.
