Saw them at Lincoln Festival in 1972.

They took their name from the song by The Band that featured on the soundtrack of Easy Rider which, incidentally, is the only way I could find a studio version of the track.

And in the sober light of dawn, I see I must have another attempt to explain that.

The song Nazareth took their name from was The Weight by The Band:

I pulled into Nazareth, was feelin' about half past dead
I just need some place, where I can lay my head
"Hey, mister, can you tell me where a man might find a bed?"
He just grinned and shook my hand, "no" was all he said.

The Band were not only a band in their own right but also collaborated with Bob Dylan and were his backing band at various times.

The attached clip is an acoustic version of a song on the cd I am listening to, an interesting collaboration.

The very same, I'm more of a beer drinker. As my bulging waistline will attest.

D - Blue Moon. Treating myself after a long week at work.

L - I have Archer on in the background but I saw this episode last night so I'm not paying attention.

Currently studying (well, a little!) as exams are next month.

Got a few bottles of King Goblin from the Wychwood brewery in the fridge and a live set from the Drive-By Truckers downloading now. Should be a good evening!

No black Friday nonsense here either.

Cheers all beer
