Doc can't decide if I have a chest problem or a liver problem so to be on the safe side I'm steering clear of the demon drink for a while but listening this evening to - at the very least - the first half of Low by David Bowie and the first half of Hot Rats by Frank Zappa. (In both cases it would have been the first side, but things change.) The only track with vocals on Hot Rats, Willie the Pimp, is sung by Captain Beefheart. I think it's the only Beefheart I really like despite his album Trout Mask Replica being claimed as one the best albums ever by the otherwise reliable John Peel.

Whatever has happened to the last week's opening?! Old thread got bumped by mistake.
Who's to blame?! Where do I file a complaint?! Free drinks all round today? biggrin

Apple cider for me, mixed with some French (1664) lager. Not actually mixed, one after the other.

Heard this on Steve Wright today. He overlooked reminding his listeners what it was. Maybe he doesn't like it. I like it. And the video. I admire bands with the courage to spend less than ten quid making their video.

I have purchased a selection of Brew Dog beers which are currently chilling in the fridge.

Will be ploughing through season 2 of Game of Thrones this evening as well, watching them all again in preparation for the new one!

Cheers beer

Missus very kindly got me one of those malt whisky advent calendars, so tonight is a 12 year old bowmore and a bit of Jack White on the stereo while awaiting our weekend guests arriving.
