A female friend of mine got married recently only to soon find out that her bloke had been living a double life, his "working away" was in fact being shacked up with a woman from his office for half the week, despite owning a house with my friend and going through the whole charade of the wedding. Consequently she is divorcing this tool after a few months of marriage.

I'm still gobsmacked about how he thought he might get away with it, at what point on his wedding day did he not expect to eventually get rumbled? By all accounts his other woman was oblivious to his deceit too - I guess some people are convincing liars.

A colleague at work went to a wedding (i sort of know the guy, but not well enough to get an invite), anyway, the Groom knew his future wife to be was shagging his best mate (and had photo proof) but he kept it quiet and the father of the bride paid for everything, at the reception during the speeches the groom did his speech and under every single persons seat at the reception he had an envelope containing said picture. So with her whole family there, after they all pulled the photo out and told the best mate your welcome to her... And walked out his own reception.
So, he takes it out on the Father-in-Law?

Sounds a bit of a prick, to me.
How did no one notice the envelope under their seats?

People never do in Urban Myth land.

There are many versions of this and more than one in this thread alone

yes

Although I have been to a Wedding where there were things taped to the bottom of the chairs of certain guests. Happy, nice, things though - thank you gifts for some and speech aids for the best man. Quite a nice little thing for some positive guest interaction!

I knew a guy called Chris Peacock, he worked as a policeman doing speed traps on harriers. Anyway, he found out his missus was seeing someone else and he had photos taken and taped under the seats of all the wedding reception guest and told everyone to look during his speech.
His missus then changed her name to L-a, pronounced Ladasha.
This is true.

I was there.
Gazzas86's mate was there too.
Must have been a massive wedding.

45 days. Cancer. Marriage made me, loss almost broke me, definitely changed me. Life goes on. Different , but on.

A very close friend had been married 3 weeks when his bike was hit by a drunk driver. His wife was riding pillion. He survived, albeit with serious head injuries, but she died instantly.

One of my mothers friends was married for less than 6 months iirc. She married a guy (who wasn't thought of very highly by the brides parents etc) and very shortly after the wedding found out he had been cheating on her for a while.

It was a real shame as the bride was not only a friend of the family, but a lovely person too.

My other half was with her seeing someone for ten years and then got married. It went from Easter to the beginning of august and it was game over.
We have been together 4 years now, little lad is 22 months old and there is no chance of getting married.
