I had a clearout in the garage and listed 29 separate auctions. Most have been completed but a couple people have paid then said how much extra for postage on collection only items. mad but the best is on a solid brass fire fender. It went for £1 which is gutting it then the seller doesn't contact me for nearly 2 weeks then pays for it via PayPal. I'm getting emails from eBay saying its time to ship but I listed it as postage only and the buyer is in Bristol. Does any one know any couriers that can ship a heavy parcel to Bristol for 67p? I don't think they exist.

As a rule I hate the general public, fking skip rats most of them.

my gf sold a coat for 99p with £3 postage

"can i pay in 10 days time when i get paid"

i find it scary that people are buying stuff they dont need on ebay when they cant afford it
This isn't a dig, not even slightly, it's your stuff and you do with it as you wish. More, it's a thought provoking statement:

Did your girlfriend really need 99p more than the local homeless shelter/charity shop needed a coat?

I know, this isn't how the real world works (hence the recent, extremely amusing, thread about Ewan McGregor asking some nutter for a fiver). That said, maybe next time, save yourself the hassle...

Simon.

Postage only so, surely you put postage costs to cover the postage cost?

just tell them the item was lost so you don't have to bother, and go and weigh it in.

Dont use ebay or paypal. I had to wait 2 months to be told by ebay customer support they would side with a seller who posted it to himself, with courier emails supporting this. Bunch of fking oxygen theifs, I had to get a refund through my CC, if I had used a debit card Id be out £500.

I use Amazon or gumtree these days, cash in hand for selling, no worries with couriers "losing" items.

Conversely I've just sold 30+ items in eBay in the last month, including three motorbikes, and only had one item not collected or paid for (£21). The rest were paid for or collected with seven days.

I've bought 600+ items over the years and never had any issues.

I think it's down to selecting buyer exclusions in your auction (must have Paypal account, for example) and buying off reputable sellers.

Quite simple really. smile

Opps posted that a bit drunk. Item was collection only.

I hear what you are saying, a lot of stuff did go their way, but she was expecting this particular one to go for a lot more as it was unusual and also she reckoned the clothes shop would have weighed it in for material scrap

The rest of the stuff did ultimately end up there in the end one it didn't do anything on the bay

Just wait however many days he has to pay. Then report . You'll get the fees back. Relist .
Just follow the process and dont talk to anyone as it's a waste of time.
Did this and got a non-paying buyer strike added to the twerp's account. Disproportionately satisfying.

Also adjusted my seller profile to block bids from anyone with two or more of those in the last 12 months. Once bitten...
