Err, shirts.
Personal taste, but a bar collar and contrasting cuff / collar usually looks well in the office.

This is irony, isn't it?

That's a non-irony shirt

Looks like an irony bar through the collar though.

I fondly recall the last time I visited Saville Row prior to attending the premier of Skyfall, Eleven helped me greatly in my suit selection back then. There were even pictures of me wearing it at the premier in the newspapers. Listen to him, he really knows his stuff.

Thanks again, Eleven.

Though they're probably not going to get you noticed at the latest film premiere or in the hottest spots in town, I too can vouch for M&S suits which, for work, I think are absolutely fine. They look good, are decent quality, fit well, are available in a variety of styles and sizes (with no set trouser/jacket size combinations like some branded suits), and are comparatively cheap. Personally I don't think you get anything more for your money with a £300-500 branded suit than you do with one from M&S that sets you back £129.

Shirts - another vote for Charles Tyrwhitt - again, good fit, look good, and they've always got some sort of deal on for 4/5 shirts for <£100. TM Lewin, same same, though I have always had more trouble finding shirts to fit me there than CT for some reason.

Is it the kind of kit you'd wear in the office though?

NB. I'm old and happy to be (conservatively) smart, stylish and 'presentable' - fashionable I'm not.
