Would be on its flag?

With the recent Scottish vote it got me thinking that if towns became independant countries what would best represent them on their flag?

I live in Bedford so it'd have to include:

John Bunyan (whoever he was)
The River Great Ouse (runs through the town)
The M1
And maybe a picture of the brickworks or disused airship hangars.

How about yours?

In line with the previous tagline thread, the flag for Basingstoke would just be pale grey, or perhaps beige, maybe even completely transparent.

Seefive would have it differently, it'd have a picture of The Cayman Islands photoshopped on a roundabout.

A sillhouette of Abraham Darby and Lenny Henry holding hands with a burning car in the background.

-Dudley.

No but in all seriousness, probably just a burning car.

This is my towns coat of arms/flag. Two camp blokes, a sailing boat and some crowns.

Reading. Usually gives Biscuits, Bricks and Beer, but that may be a little out of date now.

Edited, because I'm a 'tard.

If my town was Dudley, Netherton, Willenhall or one of several other Black Country towns it would almost certainly be using this new beauty

Celebrating centuries (they say) of chainmaking, glassmaking and other dark satanic processes

I quite like it

But Brum has its own coat of arms so it will have Arm and Hammer details near a Union Flag and motto Forward

Probably have 'field rouge' 'cos the commies own us now

I'd have a W124 300e4 door on my flag, and i'd live outside any town (less chance of any dents)

Is that the roundabout by the mutliplex cinema or the one by the ice rink?
(They all look the same otherwise)

Or a police helicopter which seems to be up an awful lot lately :-)

I grew up in Runcorn so it would probably be a coral betting shop logo inset on a stylised UB40 motif flag.

I live in Melbourne now and our flag would be an overpriced latte design

Both Runcorn and halewood are both lovely places. Crack and Netto, what's not to like?

Haha absolutely. I came back last year for a visit, first time in 15 years, and I had to ask someone when did the nuclear holocaust happen. It was always a shabby town, but growing up there was ok since nice scenery was but a bike ride away, but it just had the air of death around it. The new incinerator will be the death blow for that town.

The new bridge will allow most folk to breeze on through without even glimpsing the vast array of kebab and betting shops.

Christ that sounds depressing. It almost felt posh crossing the river sometimes. Halewood is a real sthole. Has it not got the jag factory down there now?
