The following amounts, how would you spend it?

(Don't just think of the first thing that comes into your head, choose carefully)...

a) £10

Take away for tea!

b) £100

Bank it and leave it in my emergency/rainy day fund.

c) £1000

Chuck it at my student loan.

d) £10,000

Pay off my student loan.

e) £100,000

Pay off my mortgage and above, won't quite cover it all but near enough.

f) £1,000,000

  • Pay off my mortgage
  • Pay off the mortgages of my immediate siblings
  • Give parents a holiday as often as I can make them go and wherever they want
  • Buy a house somewhere not too 'posh' but quiet and not at risk of invasion from ner-do-wells
  • Buy a Morgan 3 wheeler (would probably keep my current car as a daily, I'm not one for super cars tbh)
g) £10,000,000

  • All the above
  • Give a bit to Alzheimer's charities or research
  • Probably help a friend who lives in London out with getting a house or at least some money for a deposit
  • £1m each to siblings
  • Buy the old man a Porsche 911 Turbo
  • Invest a chunk
  • Set up some trust fund type things to pay off student loans or mortgage deposits for nephews and nieces.
  • Enjoy life.
Too much to list for g tbh, I would likely leave my current job but still work either way even if just part time as I think I'd go nuts as I don't have kids or a significant other to annoy.

I would. I still want to enjoy my life and would easily get bored far too quickly without work.

Only a boring person with no imagination would get bored by not going to work.

Define boring. It would stop my brain rotting, keep me within the realms of society. It would also be an opportunity to do something a bit more worthy.

£10 - Pocket the cash

£100 - Night out with beers on me

£1,000 - Half in savings, other half on trackdays and associated costs

£10,000 - Get the Range Rover restored, put £3k in savings and another £3k off of my mortgage

£100,000 - Pay off my mortgage. Use the rest as a deposit on a buy-to-let and buy an M3 CSL.

£1,000,000 - Buy a house outright to live in, buy a few other smaller properties to let out, go semi-retired. Buy a nearly new Range Rover, F-Type V6S Coupe and maybe a Bentley Continental GT Speed.

£10,000,000 - Much as the above, but share between my closest friends, charities, and I would buy a Fairline Phantom 50, McLaren P1 and much, much more besides. The rest would sit in property or a trust fund.

a) £10- I wouldn't notice

b) £100 - I wouldn't notice

c) £1000 - I wouldn't really notice

d) £10,000 - I'd have a bit of a drink with some friends and maybe buy a new bike

e) £100,000 - I'd buy a new SUV and spend a bunch of money getting my hot rod registered.

f) £1,000,000- I'd retire, buy several muscle cars and hot rods.

g) 10,000,000. I have no idea, it is beyond me. However, I have worked offshore for 22 years now, so six months a year off work with a decent amount of coin in pocket is nothing knew, so I don't think I'd fall apart and turn into some drugee....
