Inspired by:

(Note - inspiration is in the hat look only, not wanting to look like a travelling Irish !)

If I were to get myself a similar item, nicest i've found is: http://www.jillcorbett.com/product.php?prodid=15, would it be a fashion faux pas? Or can these be worn quite sensibly/stylishly?

Was trying hats on in M&S at the weekend, but their selection was somewhat limited...

When you tried on the hats in M&S, what did you honestly think?

Did they look any good?

Did they suit you?

ETA, the suggestion above is a great one and would obviously be treated with the correct protocols in only establishing an answer to your question of course.

I instantly clicked your profile, assuming that ChemicalChaos/Mat777/CheshireCowboy had changed his name again.

Personally I think that hat looks ridiculous but that's not to say it wouldn't look good on the right person in the right situation.

I now have to live with the fact that I have responded semi-seriously to a post on an internet forum asking whether buying a leather hat is a good idea, great.

I don't doubt that you could probably pull one off, but I think a fedora would be inadvisable.

Have you considered an alpine yodelling hat & lederhosen?

wink

Fedoras are reserved for my little pony fans and people that used to be bullied in school, no!

You've posted a picture of a trilby not a fedora. For that reason, no.

M&S should stop selling ventriloquists dummies, they're rubbish.
