How would you describe your life at the moment?

One being st.

Ten feeling on top of the world.

And if unfortunately you are at the lower end of the scale, can you envisage things looking up in the foreseeable future?

I'm about a two, possibly three depending on the amount of alcohol I consume - because then I get a momentary reprieve before passing out. Still, it's an improvement on a few years ago where I wouldn't even have scored a 1 but the NHS have done their stuff for now.

No. I have BPD with a fairly long wave frequency. A life changing event a few years ago triggered an extremely severe bout of depression which, although manageable at the moment, is still causing me significant problems on a day to day basis.

How about you?

A good, solid 8.75!

Yes, I could earn more money (for more and better cars) and live in a nicer area, but generally I love my life!

Could all go tits up at half-term, so making the most of it.

Only real downside to my life is how unhappy my happiness makes other people...

I'm going to go with an 8.

Good job, kids are well and the Wife seems happy.

Just need to sort my car situation out, loose a few pounds and it'll be a 9.

The reason I started this thread is I posed the question on another popular forum and expected most replies to be around 2 or 3 with most moaning about one thing or another and bemoaning their lot in life.

I was amazed to see how many posted 8 plus, there was a lot of optimism about...smile

On the downside, this wasn't the case in all the replies, but happily they were in the minority.

At the moment I would say 9, but twelve months ago it would have been 2, as I suffer quite a bit from mood swings, but hopefully things will improve from now on, as I have sorted some long standing issues in my personal life which were dragging me down.

So for anyone feeling down in the dumps at the moment, chin up, there is always hope...smile

If I had to pick a number, I'd say 7.5/8

Generally life is pretty good; no debt, I'm in a happy relationship, no kids, a couple of nice cars etc.

Work is okay, although I'm likely to be out of a job in a few months. On the plus side, I have 3 job offers lined up, so it's kind of up and down at the minute.

My only real worry in life at the minute is making the wrong career choice, but that is a common occurence with most people.

So yeah, probably an 8
