They clearly don't have good enough friends then. I know that my friends absolutely wouldn't change the way they act around me if I were me or me + £150m.
I bet more than one lottery winner has said in the past, too.

You don't KNOW how anyone, yourself included, will act unless you actually find yourself in that situation.

I'd have to invest the bulk of it. Couldn't live with knowing I or my descendants just pissed it all up the wall so the order of the day would be to create a lasting legacy.

Before any of that though I'd buy a large Yorkshire estate, perhaps a house on the Como, some classic cars and lots of tweed jackets.

Eight of us go golfing every June , we stay in nice hotels , play nice courses and generally have a right laugh every time we go.

I'd do exactly the same holiday with the same mates , except for one thing , I'd be picking the bill up.

I certainly wouldn't waste my time investing it.

I'm 44 so I have about 40 years left befor I go £23m on cars, houses, C&H, fast bikes etc.

£120m is £3m a year for the next 40yrs, I can't take it with me after all.
But that isn't much. Generally you live the lifestyle that matches the income, if you have spent £23m on houses, and cars, you aren't going to be able to maintain them, run them, run in the social circles such money attracts, for £1.5m a year post tax. Especially as 8-10 hours of the day you would be at work you are now free to do what you like which likely involves money also.

So many people say winning the lotto wouldn't affect their lives but then you hear they wasted it...the difference between those people and the people still rich are...the latter "wasted time investing it".

What I would do with 150m, is turn it into 300m so I could give 150m of it away to people and animals in need.
Tax is only paid on earned income, if you're spending the capital then there won't be any tax liabilities.

I wouldn't bother investing it to generate any, too much like hard work. £3m a year is over £80k a day

Yup, just imagine how much that would annoy both the bank manager and HMRC hehe

I'd buy a nice house with a motocross track in the back garden and spent months honing my skills.

No it isn't

It is £8,219 per day.

Hardly enough to feed my Faberge Egg habit!

I think the bank manager would be delighted as he lends your money out at 3%+ with zero cost

Albeit im guessing £143m isn't enough to buy - but a few weeks a year would do!

I'd buy a load of forestry land and create a mountain bike trail centre with a road circuit through the middle of it as well so it's a multi discipline race venue. I'd be happy running that. Have a few companies there too, frame builders, physios etc.

A few historic racing cars for the weekend, Lotus 11, 23, 25, 49, 72, Senna's 98t and the rubbish 102b from the 90s to complete the set.

The rest can go to the RNLI, NSPCC and some other good causes.

£143 million.

I would never, ever tell anyone except Mrs Don. I would quietly upgrade our lifestyle - a move to a country pile and a modest town house somewhere in London.

This is PH so there would be cars. But only say four at a time. I've got that number now and I'm poor as a church mouse...

Rangie for getting about in the country crap
A Tesla for most journeys.
Then I'd do a number of two seater convertibles with ludicrous levels of bhp. Because I'm mental I'd probably change them every couple of years.

To be frank I think it would be both a pleasure and stressful. I mean, you could buy several thousand acres of rainforest to protect it. You can pay for people to protect Rhino. You could pay for a LOT of make a wish type things. Just how would you choose...
