Seriously; 26C, it must be stifling?

I find it too hot in the car if the climate control is on 20C, then again I prefer the cold; the wife thought I was odd as I walked the dog in my shorts last night and it was 10C.
I'm with you - Max 21C in the car. Wore shorts all last weekend as well, a lovely feeling in October!

Was working late last night so by the time I got home SWMBO was already in bed. Wearing a fleece.
Why are you wearing a coat I asked.
Because I was freezing she replied.
So why have you got your leg dangling out of the side of the bed I then asked.
Because I was too hot came the reply.
WTF?

I think womens thermostats dont open or something (fnarr) they pretty much all run cold, all year, the mMenopause is just them catching up with the actual temperature.
Uh you mean don't close rather than don't open right...

Remember that nice hot few weeks we had this summer? OH was still driving round with her heated seats on full blast and climate set to 26C (default for her). It's awful frown

26C ***and*** the heated seats on full blast. It's mental.

Same here and I'm a girl. Don't like it too hot, prefer to put a decent pair of socks/slippers on and a cardigan, also have a dog as a furry hot water bottle on the bed.

Women at work here have mini ones on their laps in winter as it's sooooo cold apparently.
yes whilst wearing sheer or near sheer blouses with short sleeves... wimmin...

the problem with putting the heating on is i would be too warm to sleep and a higher tog duvet makes the oh too hot and she gets restless leg - like sleeping next to a human size locust...

Black, super fluffy dressing gown. I have one. It's like wearing tropical weather. If its really cold just wear it to bed!

Then again, my body gives off ridiculous amounts of heat (no fat to keep it all inside) so in that dressing gown I end up slowly roasting myself.

To be honest I don't really need it. Its just so I don't have to get dressed on a morning to wander round the house. Its not so cold at the moment really. Still fine to sleep naked under a summer duvet.

I would freeze at that! 15C is OK for overnight, or if you're indulging in strenuous physical activity, but my desk thermometer is reading 20C and I wouldn't mind another degree or two. :brrrr:

So, given that my OH has absolutely no thermostatic control whatsoever, not only do I have to endure the smell of warm rubber in bed (no fnaars at the back please), it now accompanies her at the dinner table and on the setee of an evening.

And becasue its now got a bit colder she has the bed one so hot she has to move it ever 15 seconds, honestly its like trying to sleep in a paddling pool.

accompanied to this, the heat makes her legs itch and that sounds like woodwork class due to her unneccesary long nails so I have to try to get to sleep in what feels like a GCSE woodwork proactical next to a paddling pool.

for those that think I'm complaining she has HWBs in july and august this year...

crap rant over...there is no need for them really is there????
Is she on a diet? There's little reason at all to be uncomfortably cold at the moment unless she is ill or not eating enough..... or pregnant.

(Are you pregnant? You might be chilling her out so much that she needs bottles to try and keep warm.)
Have you met a woman before?!

Tell her to go and stand outside for 10 min. She will soon feel warm when she comes back inside

What about a slankie? Got the OH one and now I don't have to melt as much as we can keep the heating on a normal level - also the dogs don't get too hot.

But electric blankets to heat up the bed is a great thing IMHO.
