I would freeze at that! 15C is OK for overnight, or if you're indulging in strenuous physical activity, but my desk thermometer is reading 20C and I wouldn't mind another degree or two. :brrrr:
I work all day in my home office with that temp. No manual labour. Occasionally I throw a jumper on.

But then I grew up in a draughty Victorian house so maybe I'm used to it.

Next time they complain about the cold show them this picture. Taken in my bedroom 12th Feb this year.

I have perfected the art of getting dressed in bed first thing in the morning during winter months. Joys of an old house. On the upside I'm like a radiator so when the girlfriend stops over she has to cuddle up wink

I did that couple of winters ago, moved into an old 1980s house in the Summer-autumn, went to put the *warm air* central heating system on in October/November, found it didn't work. The cost to put it right was around £350, but I was always planning on replacing it anyway. Ended up waiting a couple of months before I could afford a whole new central heating system and went through most of the winter with zero heating. Had it all torn out and replaced Feb time/

Was not pleasant but the £400 rebate I got in the summer was very welcome! biggrin

Aye the original part of mine is early-mid 1800s. The double glazing has stopped the windows freezing up on the inside but the radiators work off the (broken) back boiler and even if the fire worked we are never at home often enough to justify lighting it frown

You can get a double duvet wiht one half thicker than t'other but this fix
worked for me.

  • Get a double duvet with a tog rating you're comfortable using.
  • Get a single duvet with the same rating or a still higher one.
  • Piggyback the single one on top of the double on her side in the duvet cover.
  • Let her snuggle under that pairing.
  • Ignore complaints about her being too hot.

The term warm-blooded is a colloquial term to describe animal species that have a relatively higher blood temperature, and maintain thermal homeostasis primarily through internal metabolic processes.
When did the female homo sapiens devolve from being warm-blooded?

Is this why people are so keen on stupidly priced new-builds - they think a house from the 1980's is "old"?
