Most evenings, and sometimes twice. In through the door, shower, change into evening clothes. Then dependant on the activities, another before bed.

I couldn't be assed in the mornings, Im up, fed, washed and dressed in 15 minutes, so I don't want to have to get up any earlier really if I can avoid it

Morning & after work. I need to shower twice a day or i feel rotten. I'm office bound most of the time with the odd bit of dirty hands.
My scalp feels itchy & then my body starts to go the same way.
Cant shower before bed as i get really warm & then cant sleep. Missus says its like sleeping beside a hot water tank.

I shower before bed, it increases the chance of a nosh hehe

I take a bath when my back or hip is particularly painful, which isn't too often these days.

Morning and night.

I feel utterly disgusting if I don't shower when I get out of bed.
I simply can't imagine putting clean clothes on top of a nights worth of sweat and oily skin/hair.

If I don't shower 2 times a day I quickly feel greasy, damp, clammy, oily.

Plus, I just enjoy showering smile

The only morning I don't shower before leaving the house is Sundays and that's cos I head out on the bike and then shower or bathe after.

Never quite understand the 'shower the evening before' types, you spend all night sweating in your already sweaty sheets then come into work covered in stale sweat. Nice.

When did all this 'cleanliness' start?
When I was a child we bathed once a week, on bath night. As a teen I started getting sweaty and smelly, as you do, so started showering more frequently. Then things like shower gel and fancy shampoos, hair conditioners for men, and other 'essentials' appeared.
These days I rarely exert myself so a shower when needed is appropriate - this may be twice daily or twice weekly. It depends. Furthermore; soaps, gels, shampoos, etc are very good at removing natural oils as well as sweat, dirt and grime - a more thorough scrub and fewer chemicals for more healthy skin?
Many of those above seem to confuse 'smelling fresh and healthy' with spray on chemicals, deodorants and perfumes.

At the work gym, could be either morning or afternoon.

It's great because:
1. I get paid to shower
2. Free hot water

Shower every night before bed, i live in a hot country where I sweat during the day and I hate getting into a bed feeling sticky and dirty.

My a/c keeps the room cool all night though so I never need to shower in the morning.

Also shower before going out for dinner etc etc and after the gym / cycling as appropriate.

I tend to shower each morning, but as I work from home, if I make the mistake of checking email when I get up then it can often be mid afternoon before I get chance.

Rule is, must be showered and dressed before wife gets home, which is around 5pm, so plenty of leeway smile

When I have visited hot countries for work, Saudi, Singapore, Africa, I tend to shower two or three times as you get very uncomfortable very quickly.

Maybe when we all decided that smelling/feeling fresh on a daily basis was preferable to the slight odours of someone who doesn't have such a cleaning regime.

I work in an office of about 190 people and you can always tell the people who don't shower or change clothes on a daily basis.

The clean ones actually smell clean. You sit next to them and get a whiff of clean clothes, shampoo and aftershave/perfume.

The 'not as clean' always have a slight odour to them wether it be BO, musty clothes, greasy hair, or even a very slight whiff of pee...

How anyone could not shower before going to bed is beyond me, you get in a clean bed covered in dirt and sweat...if you have a clean job your still dirty.

I shower in the morning; it wakes me up. I then shower at lunch after running/spinning/other random gym type stuff.

Unless you change your bedding every single day, the bed will not be clean!

Agree. Some of these are ridiculous,2/3 times a day is complete overkill, not good for your natural oils and bordering on OCD.

Where's the option for "when you start to smell" ?
It's under the heading "six hours after everyone else had noticed that you stink".

Morning when I get up and evening before bed or when I get home from work, plus a shower during the day after a lunchtime gym session.
