I sometimes think it was.

No idiots texting, either whilst driving or walking in crowded shopping centres and not looking where they are going.
No 'selfies'.
No constant updates to that thing called Facebook.

Yes, i think i preferred it before..........

Although mobiles were great when they were phones, for talking to people calling them to let them know you were home/ broken down etc. Now people's lives revolve around the little plastic pieces of ste.

From the start when mobiles came out , I wanted one.
Then I wanted the next generation etc etc.
I'm so amazed what my smart phone can do.

But I never use it.

The past was not a utopian nirvana. Mostly it was a lot worse than things are now.

Mobile phones were a brilliant innovation and changed both how we worked and played.
The internet is amazing and world wide web more so.
Smartphones and tablets have changed things again: I'd argue much for the better.

The fact that numbskulls have a platform for spouting vile opinions is a downside, I'll admit. But I'd say in general in almost inestimable benefits outweigh the problems.

Before smartphones and tablets we could still do internet stuff, we just had time to think though before we got home to our pc's.

Now people just instantly respond before thinking.

That thing called Facebook! I guess you're not a subscriber, in which case I guess it shouldn't matter how often people post updates.

I am waiting for a new SIM Card and have now been 3 days without a phone.

Quite liberating, just waiting for the 15 millions voicemails when it arrives.

If I never have to talk to another member of the public again it won't be a moment too soon. There is NO such thing as a conversation any more, just self interested nonsense.
