different clothes for differnt occasions

Aside from my work clothing, I have one pair of jeans and 3 polo shirts that are all the same. I have two pairs of trainers that are the same which I alternate.

I have a suit for weddings/funerals etc and a clever jacket that can be made suitable for all weather conditions.

I look the same all the time. Makes choosing an outfit easier. Just have to remember which pair of trainers to put on.

Normally COnverse, jeans and a checked shirt or Converse, jeans and some kind of tight T-shirt with some sort of design on the front or Converse, jeans and some kind of Sweatshirt with a design on the front or back..or both.

Sometimes on a birthday night out I'll replace the converse with shoes and add in a shirt and waistcoat/jacket combo.

I spend a lot on gym gear. Weightlifting shoes for Olympic lifting etc.

Work - suit, shirt, smart shoes etc
Outside work - Adidas Gazelle trainers, Levi 501 jeans, polo shirt if its warm, rugby shirt or fleese if its a bit nippy.

Started buying some nicer gear, casual shoes, shirts, cashmere jumpers etc and then realised that my friends never go anywhere nice for me to wear those clothes. Went to a BBQ at one of their houses, casual shoes, chinos and shirt. Felt really overdressed so now I tend to dress down to their level.

Laughable, I've got more than that under my desk at work ( I jest, I only currently have two pairs of shoes under my at the moment, but it's not unusual to have 4 or 5 pairs )

I have 3 large boxes of shoes in my dining room at this moment in time, my wife demanding I sort them out.

I shall do no such thing.

Couple of posh ball gown type dresses for very special occasions (ie Air Cadets annual dinner)

Some going out stuff.

Slopping around the house stuff, jeans and t-shirts etc.

Work stuff (work provide the shirts, I provide the jeans/cargo trousers)

^ that. I live in the country, but spend a fair bit of time in town, so I kind of have two different smart casual attire's so I don't look like too much of a plonker in either environment.

Casual is just jeans + polo shirt / shirt (and jumper if it's cold) regardless of where I am.

Loads of different clothes and different looks.

Loads of T Shirts, sweatshirts, crew knits and jeans to wear with trainers.

The loads of smarter jeans and knits to wear with casual boots etc.

Then loads of cotton trousers, nicely tailored to wear with boots and shirts and fine knits.

Then smarter trousers to wear with jackets and formal shoes.




At home I guess I am the same as everyone else, get home from work and slip into a pair of lounge pants and a smoking jacket.
