Afternoon

Seeing as Christmas is upon us, I wondered if anyone has used these for cash back or money off products. Are they any good? Worth using?

I've downloaded the quidco app, and it's asking for debit card details. Is it safe to do this?

Any other discount sites along these lines to consider?

Cheers

Absolutely. I've had over £1k of cash back through TopCashback, tend to use them rather than Quidco but have accounts with both. Best cash back comes from new insurance polices (home/car/etc.) typically £30 - £40 although I've had up to £80 before now. Also new mobile phone contracts attract a similar rate. Then you get a trickle of money through for on-line shopping anything from 1% to 10% of the transaction, even on your Dominoes pizza order biggrin

My Mrs has used Quidco for about 6 years, I'll ask her to confirm but I thinh her statement shows a saving in the £thousands.

Just spent around £1500 on furniture and get £100 Quidco cashback.

Seem reliable too, sometimes pay out before the stuff is delivered.

I used TCB successfully for a while but haven't bothered much with it this year.
You do have to wait quite a while to get your cash back....I'm talking over 6 months in some cases.

The good thing with TCB is/was you could convert your cash into Tesco points which can be worth a lot more

I've used TopCashBack for a few years, had over £250 back. You can get cash back just for doing car insurance quotes.

Definitely worth signing up for. I converted £50 into tesco club card points, which with club card boost makes it worth £100.

Money for nothing!

Topcashback used to be alright, but recently I am finding none of my purchases track and they don't seem to care when I put in a support ticket. Quidco seem a lot more reliable at the moment.

Got £40 back on an £80 insurance policy and £15 off a £27 breakdown cover plus 6 months emergency home care free and a free MOT.

So far had about £150 back this year on stuff we would have bought anyhow. (Quidco that is)

TopCashBack and Quidco are very similar. TopCashBack is my preferred one as while I've had three not track (they sorted one out and I got paid, another one they were waiting for the cash to be paid to them, but paid me anyway and the most recent one is logged, and I feel certain that I will get paid that too), I have no real complaints.

If you're going to use either of them, make sure you do not have any adblockers turned on.

I use Quidco and have their Chrome add on things because I forget to go via them!

I used Topcash back once and they didn't pay. Contacted via twitter and they promised to sort it out, they didn't!

Quidco will tot up all your small cash backs and when it gets to a certain amount (can't remember the exact £ ) you can request they pay you and they do.

I bought my dell laptop 2 years ago through quidco.

Thing was £1000. I saved 15% at the checkout, off the top line, followed by another 10% cashback on the 15% reduced, excluding vat price. So, £850 with my 15% off, then another 10% cashback on that excl VAT = 850*0.8*0.1 = £68.

£782.

Was chuffed to bits, cracker of a deal. Don't see deals like that too often though!
I did something similar for my Samsung tablet.
Samsung cashback, Quidco and a Dixons discount code reduced it from £279 to just under £200, with free delivery smile

The only caveat I would add is this;

Don't just go for the deal with the best cash back if the item you want to buy is cheaper elsewhere - based on the fact that cash back may not be paid if there is an issue etc.

Would definitely agree with the above. I've had £1k from Quidco which is very nice. Vodafone do £100+ for mobile phone contracts so that's come in handy.

Used Quidco for many years.

Total confirmed & paid cashback £930.20 which can't be sniffed at.
