So, what with the Telegraph informing us this site is the most popular in the known universe, how did you come across it? Was it your interest in cars or did you first come here for another reason, then stayed, attracted by the lucid, nuanced discourse that oozes from every thread? I browsed the classifieds for quite awhile after seeing Pistonheads mentioned in Autocar, then noticed the forums and decided to jump in. BTW I am not Dan Trent doing some market research on the cheap.

I arrived on here due to the varied opinions. I frequented a few owners clubs, but quickly realised these are a populated by foamy mouthed, gibbering idiots who'll grab the pitchforks at the slightest suggestion that they're chosen marque is anything other than the pinnacle of automotive excellence.

Finding all the 'lifestyle' stuff was a bonus.

Subday Services aren't bad either. My first one made me realise that its (in the main) populated with rather nice chaps.

I always assumed it was just a classifieds site, then started poking around the news articles and discovered the forums. My productivity at work instantly nosedived...

My ex boss had a couple of TVRs and was on it so I joined. It was back in about 2002 & when I left the company I just browsed for a couple of years then joined again under a different name.
