You could probably fix the washing machine yourself for a few 10s of pounds.
A ten year old washing machine? I have not got the time or the inclination..

Yes used AO.com. Very impressed.

I think the queue is real and keep some of the chaos off the website. Still it's broke enough to not let you pay....

the parts website will not be clogged up with christmas shoppers, just order the part you need and fit it in the 30 minutes you spent looking at currys website and grizzling on here. The part will probably be with you before an online washing machine purchase.

The washing machine will be there tomorrow, because he bought it from ao.com

Do keep up.

Black Friday or Cyber Monday?

What's the difference?
Why are there two 'major' online shopping days?
Would i be correct in saying that Cyber Monday is more geared towards techy goods, rather than any goods for Black Friday?

But either I need to find time to strip the machine and spot what caused the electrical flash (not my area) or get a man in.... That's going to take time, and money, and the rest of the machine is still ten years old. A newer machine I may have invested time in fixing. A ten year old machine can die gracefully in my view.

All I can see is Black Friday adverts on the TV. Are there actually any good deals? Or st deals but lots of good advertising to make you think the deals are good?

Started queuing out of idle curiousity. Got to six minutes. Queue paused.
What a load of tosh.

I'm wondering if the queueing nonsense is needed or just another marketing tool to get us to think we'd better buy now whilst we're in.

Me too, then i got to the front, clicked to go to the site and was put on hold before being told i had used the ticket before and put to the back of the queue which is now over an hour.

Good job i didn't want to buy anything, huge own goal, i take it they haven't heard of visualized scalable web apps! even their queuing partner cant cope!
