Good news smile Here's hoping they have a thoroughly unpleasant Christmas and a rotten New Year.

That dog is a beast!

Russian troops use them in the prisons, I believe.

I prefer Presa Canario myself. Dogo Argentino works too.

I got burgled about 2 years ago, police just gave me a crime number, I went to every local pawn shop, money shop , cash converters and tracked down every item except for 1 bracelet, the money shop were very good as a lot of the jewelry had been sent for scrap but they made a call and I got it back 2 weeks later
I went on eBay and tracked my watch to a local watch shop 8 miles away it was a tag too and the only one for sale I went in the shop and asked to view it then said it was mine and by law they have to remove it from sale
That took a couple of weeks to get back too
So in a nutshell police were useless
I got my stuff back but it still bothers me!

Thoughts go out to you, it isnt a nice feeling.

We were done over in Uxbridge some years ago. Stereo and a PC taken and a watch that was brought with some money left to me by my Nan. They also took a car that we had brought a couple of days before.

We even knew who it was because the local scumbags had knocked at the door a few days before asking for someone who they knew didnt live there.

We used to drive round looking for the car, it was found a couple of weeks later.

Needless to say we left that st hole ASAP.

Update.

I now have the footage and am in the process of uploading it although I'm vary wary about sharing it due to upsetting what could turn into a court case if they do eventually get enough evidence to try to convict the gang, the police didn't mention anything we should or shouldn't do with the footage.

Any ideas? Wait until it's all over?

Awful news. I'm sorry to hear this. I hope you get back most if not all through your insurance. As much as it's hard to accept, it's all material and can all be replaced.

After my fianceé had a similar episode before she met me, the house was locked down like fort knox. We have electric shutters that are closed if we leave for longer periods and also the most insane alarm system in the world (just fitted before Christmas).

http://www.verisure.co.uk/ (In case you're interested).

Another thing to note is I never let anyone I sell items to, come to my house. I usually take what I'm selling to a convenient place and that way I never let strangers into my home.

Don't share the footage until the matter is resolved.

I was only burgled the once, we lost a lot of stuff that was never recovered - but the burglars were caught and served 18 months. We lost £38,000 of stuff in fact.... The insurers (Royal & Sun Alliance) tried to clip this down to almost zero using obscure claims in the tortuous terms and conditions - so we had to take them to court to get them to pay up. We settled for £17,000 in the end. This is despite every item being photographed and insured separately. I moved to Chubb in the end who have been excellent. Grrrr! (Got that off my chest).

I've been following your thread and feeling irate on your behalf. Bide your time on the footage - no benefit to showing it just yet.
