Very bad luck there, especially given the contents insurance or lack of it.
Thinking about the iPad... Did it have a passcode on it? If not, was it logged in to anything, eBay, etc? Just thinking they may have access to bank details, etc.
The iPad might also offer a means to help the police though too - have you tried finding via the 'find iPhone' facility? You can also erase the contents remotely I believe but the find functionality won't work afterwards.

I have this app called Prey installed on iPad, iphone, computers https://preyproject.com
Just an extra layer over and above the "Find my iPhone" etc plus it uses the webcams to take pictures of whoever is using it, even when in lock mode. Does screenshots as they are using it too.

d Just saw the footage they loiter opposite the house for about 2 - 3 minutes, then run up the drive there's 3 of them, they're in the house for over 10 mins then jump the low wall between us and next door, run across next doors drive one with the TV on their back, he drops his crow bar on the floor then they seem to hide behind a tree and car for a few minutes.
A grey / silver subaru turns up and after that an unknown car atm, they were there until we came home, good job the wife stayed with our car as we had the little boy in it

Don't know yet, going to get the footage off her tomorrow, she can't remember how to do it
