A friend of mine bought a house on that estate and lived there for years, when I used to visit it seemed apparent that the patients never really moved away, they were just relocated into the houses
If the silver Subaru in question is an Impreza then I wonder if it's the one I saw a few weeks back driving around like a complete idiot. He nearly knocked me off my bike, I ranted on FaceBook about it but didn't get a number or anything. Quite possibly the potentially innocent clonee (?) though!
The subaru is registered locally (ish) copper said it's probably a clone but did say that it's strange to use it where the actual registered car is!If the silver Subaru in question is an Impreza then I wonder if it's the one I saw a few weeks back driving around like a complete idiot. Just had a call from the police they've raided a house and found some of our stuff and they have somebody on remand over Christmas.
No watch but it does make me feel a bit better!
Keep the change you filthy animal.
Great news OP. Is this because of the CCTV? No watch but it does make me feel a bit better!

Sadly, it's so small and easily disposed off it's either pawned or sold in the local dodgy boozer.
Sorry to say this, but don't get ya hopes up.
I've resigned myself to that anything else is a bonus.Sorry to say this, but don't get ya hopes up.
Somebody else is probably walking round with it on after giving £50 for it.

Good to see someone has been arrested for it. Hopefully it all sticks and a sentence that doesn't leave you more angry is given.
My parents were burgled over New Year when I was 11 in 1993. They used a crowbar to lever the patio door out of its frame. They only took the VCR but there wasn't much to take back in those days (our Nintendo was taken away with us!) and were pretty tidy while hunting for what I presume was cash.
They were pretty tidy in our place, they looked through every cupboard and drawer but as the police said "they've done pretty well out if you two!"My parents were burgled over New Year when I was 11 in 1993. Gadgets are relatively high value I suppose.

Sorry you got burgled. Would you please mention how they got in through the doors so we can protect againt it? Did they smash the entire window; do the lock snapping thing (eurolocks); or break the handles somehow; or just lever them open with the crowbar?
(for all the people who will presently complain about me asking this - don't worry scrotes alreacy know how to get in).
They forced the French doors with a crowbar, broke the bottom lock and then pulled them open. We've since had extra locks fitted inside so they can't pull them open from the outside.(for all the people who will presently complain about me asking this - don't worry scrotes alreacy know how to get in).
No glass broken.

A simple bit of security that's quite effective for French doors is a bike lock. The type that is plastic coated.
Simply loop around the door handles tight-ish and the doors cannot be forced open.
French doors are not going make your house more likely to be burgled. Insurance companies do not ask if you have them - they simply lay down the standards they must stick to.
A determined house breaker will get in somehow. The best deterrents are decent locks and a visible alarm system.
Unfortunately ours are single handle.Simply loop around the door handles tight-ish and the doors cannot be forced open.

Went to collect some of the stuff they recovered today and the police know who it is that burgled us and they said the net is very carefully closing in on them, they said that it almost certainly was opportunistic and we weren't targeted which makes me feel a little bit better.
Hoping for a decent result in the new year!
ETA it's not the multi gym people.

Update.
I now have the footage and am in the process of uploading it although I'm vary wary about sharing it due to upsetting what could turn into a court case if they do eventually get enough evidence to try to convict the gang, the police didn't mention anything we should or shouldn't do with the footage.
Any ideas? Wait until it's all over?
