But women by and large aren't equal when it comes to force. They are usually physically smaller and weaker than men.
Also, I don't think equality requires someone to stoop to someone else's moronic level. If you were going to dump her anyway, why hit her too?

Do this,
We used to had a teacher who used to rap us on the forehead, Mr murray, not a bad bloke all things considering but the rap thing hurt, anyway, he used to do it pretty often for pretty much anything and one day he did it to "Bonehead" who was a likeable deviant, anyway, Bonehead wasn't that smart and in an uncharacteristically well planned act (normally was all purely reactive) he, on being rapped rolled his eyes back in his head and started shaking, then fell on the floor convulsing, his mate Colin goes "Aw sir, didn't you know Bonehead has a Brain Tumour", meanwhile Bonehead was doing a virtuoso performance, had us and Mr Murray completely fooled.
Anyway, Mr Murray looked very worries, 30 odd accusatory glances coming his way, didn't know what to do and meekly suggested someone get the school nurse, at this point Bonehead had decided to end the ruse and sat up and got back in his chair with a big daft grin, Mr Murray realised he had been taken in so the only reaction he could muster was another extra hard rap on the forehead for Bonehead !
So, next time your missus slaps you, you know what to do....

I didn't say how hard I slapped her - if it was full force then I could have caused serious damage (naturally I'm a powerfully built company director etc). It wasn't full force - I can regulate power, strangely enough.
Who on earth said I was going to dump her before she attacked me?
Seriously, stop trying to embellish something you don't know anything about.
In his defence you definitely implied that you slapped and then dumped her. In fact you didn't imply it, you actually said it.Who on earth said I was going to dump her before she attacked me?

anyway OP from your post, you feel a lack of respect, protests at slaps have gone ignored and latest one resulted in you going for a drive waiting for an apology that never came? hmmm. game over i think?

As a woman it's not a knee jerk :-)
Its more to do with having respect for yourself , life is too short to be with someone who takes the mick.
Seems like the OP was already having doubts about her anyway - hence why he posted on here.

Op's bird has just developed an irritating habit, that's all.
Amazed he's posted it rather than just saying to her "Don't do that any more you wretched slut" which I am sure would stop it, but as for your advice- jesus.
Happily Married and have a husband who does not go in for slaps playful or non playful
You may think my advice is OTT your choice,
Perhaps the OP does need to man up.

If this was a woman asking about her boyfriend slapping her, I think we know what the answers would be.
So why is this any different?!
Erm, what TwigTheWonderKid said. Generally, a woman is not going to be able to inflict really serious injury on her boyfriend against his will, at least not without assistance (aka sharp or heavy things). It sickens me to even think about it, but if I (M) wanted to seriously harm my OH (F) I could. So why is this any different?!
Certainly anything that is safe, sane and consensual between adults I'm fine with, but generally I would expect a far greater likelihood that even a "playful" slap from a male to a female would at least be perceived by the female as an implied threat of greater violence. One that generally is not there when the roles are reversed.
Personally I'd say: never ever hit back unless you're in serious danger - you'll become the bad guy, period. If it's bothering you, say, and if she continues - I normally think that losing your rag and shouting is a great way to fk just about anything up, but your OH ignoring something they're doing that really bothers you be one of a few situations where it's appropriate.
If she still doesn't stop, that's when to get lawyers/BiB involved.

If you're getting lawyers / BiB involved, the relationship is over.Only you know your own mind, OP. The skill (and courage) is in knowing when to walk away, knowing that it won't change or will always be hovering in the background.
