Ive got a bag under the floor in the boot of the car,its got jump leads, tow rope, gaffer tape, selection of hand tools, cable ties, torch yellow vests etc.
In the boot I've got a small crate that houses a few blankets, 6-8 bottles of water a bag of tea coffee soups ready meals and some other food stuffs. In a separate bag theres a JetBoil plus some of there accessories. I can feed myself for maybe 4-6days.
Im not a nutter just drive a lot, quite a lot with other children onboard,so don't want to get caught out. 6 hours stuck in Calais port with only st black muck from the coffee machine or i brew my own
drink..
In the snow i also carry a spade as well..

Satphone + spare battery
Tourniquet, quikclot & 2 Isreali bandages
Cheche
Compass/lighter/paracord
Heliograph
Leatherman / bolt cropper
Docs 'n' pills
Energy bars & small water bottle
The Small Book of Calm

But this is for abroad; for the UK phone, cash, c/card and keys seem to cover most bases, and they are in my pockets already.

Would love to see you explaining that kit-bag to a police officer - I can think of a few "going equipped"-type offences that lot might contravene.

And 2 t-shirts, 4 socks and no pants??!! - what kind of a weirdo are you??

...no sweets, paracord or gaffer tape though

and this wasn't in the uk
Now that's a proper fking go-bag.

Do tell!

Also what about condoms. Aren't they supposed to be universally useful or something? You know, put them over the end of your gun to stop it getting full of water type thing - oh and for when you abduct hot female zombies with a questionable microbial history

I have a 'go' bag.

Well, it's a wash bag with shower gel and a toothbrush.

Because I work away quite often.

Not very exciting, but still.

Right up until this point I thought you might be Jason Bourne.
How did you manage to lock yourself in the boot of your car ? Genuine question.
How else are you going to find out if the light goes out ???

Manchester council have just issued a emergeny plan for city centre residents that advises to prepare a grab bag and what to have in it.
And they're definately nutters.

I prepped my motorhome for emergencys, always water in the tanks, fuel, gas. food, clothes, first aid kits, the lot. fully prepared for anything i was, world war, zombies, insurgents, vampires.

fking thing set on fire on my drive.

wink

certainly not a war zone or anything so exotic but this was just a reasonable precaution in the circumstances given my white collar job

certainly not a survivalist escape plan - sufficient to leave the country and hop about or just get to a high end hotel a fair distance away and sit off without slumming it or pay off some police etc

Do I ? Yes.

Given the recent history of where I live this is quite sensible I think...

I dont have flares or any of that crap though.
