Can remember a thread like this last year and cant see one this year so if I have missed it will delete.

My last day in work tomorrow not back in till the 5th January nice little break from the hell of work of late. Got plenty of things lined up to keep me busy though, which include continuing my engine re build for my kit car, doing a few jobs on my mk1 mx5 vr ltd, doing a few jobs on my dads lotus excel. Picking up a mk2.5 shell with running gear which the 6 speed box and Fuji torsen diff is being removed and fitted to my mates mk1 m5 turbo.
Along with that xmas shopping next Tuesday then picking up the turkey paid for by work from the butchers and the rest of the xmas food veg and st. Viewing a l200 pick up for a tow car next year for the kit car next Monday then spending the rest either drinking, recovering from drinking to much, going over to a single stage rally event in pembrey then organising my own mx5 run throughout south wales after new year.

So when is your last day and first day back and things your doing in between.

I break up on the 24th and am back in on the 5th.
Christmas day on the beach and lots of eating, drinking, swimming and cycling to do on my break.
Merry Christmas! drinkthumbup

Finished today cloud9. Back on the 5th.

Got a list of jobs to do on my cars so that should keep me occupied between the eating and drinking

Tomorrow officially but due to IBM and their substandard reconditioned parts I will be in for a few hours on Sunday and Monday morning! Then back on the 5th.

My plan for Monday is quite nice though:
Up early
pop to work for debrief
off to Costa for breakfast
shop for the final few bits and cat food
home by lunch
open bottle of wine
wrap presents
be asleep on the sofa by 5pm

We luckily got to wrap up everything at work yesterday on the night shift so i've been able to finish early (friday 19th was last day) which was great! We are expecting our first child on the 6th Jan so xmas is pretty much cancelled as all spending has been on getting ready for little legs's arrival. If all goes to plan, with paternity and extra leave in, I won't be back at work until mid Feb.

wow a lot of people off similar time as me from tomorrow till the 5th didn't expect that. Worked out good as I only had to take 6 days off and get 16 days off in a row.

Finished at 12 today until the 5th. I'm classed as working though as I'm on 7 hours notice to head back to work. I get the 2 weeks back at some point next year though wether I get called in or not biggrin
Finger crossed all the royals stay healthy!

Working up to Christmas eve (though doubt we'll do any actual work next week though as we're already winding down now).

Back in on Sunday morning (28th) and through til New Year's Eve.

Wish I had a bit of holiday left to take!

I'm a carer for my disabled daughter.

I don't get a day off.
