Bonjour.

Ali: good luck today.

News items from the world of McAndy:

  1. Our apprentice told me that he couldn't eat one of the 48 packs of Jaffa cakes (generally referred to as the "yard", but actually 0.75 m). I told him I could. I called me on it and brought in a packet for me today. I won;
  2. I am a known scrooge. I can't stand the commercialism or the enforced ("Oh, but you must drive miles to see us at your (in)convenience, because it's Christmas" of the festive season and I'm known to be grumpy about it. That's not the news item, though. That is as follows: my absolute cherub of a daughter is beginning to melt my cold, cold heart. Damn her. irked
Which of you would like to take custody of my man card until I can pull myself together?

I am not responsible for my actions if I pick up one more fking service/parts call, or a "What time is Parts open on Boxing Day?", asked them where they found our number. On our website. Right under our Xmas/NY opening hours.

Or, as just now "I don't think I've got the right department, but we recently bought a diesel Focus and my husband has just filled it up with petrol, can you help?"

"Ring your breakdown company as that's what you are experiencing."

I'm quite impressed how they've managed to get past the EasyFuel set-up. I've tried and found it idiot proof, or so I thought.

I need a drink.

Have you had the 'comedians' yet? 'Oh off for two weeks after tomorrow are you?' No, now fk off.

'I wouldn't work at this time of year' Well, luckily for you I am, so you can actually purchase the oil you need to 'top up' and ignore the fact the car needed a service 6-9 months ago then isn't it? fk off.

hehe

Just had one who picked up a new car in Oct call (Sales) to book his car in (with Service) for his free 6 week, while you wait check up tomorrow.

Transfer call internally "estimated wait time, 2 minutes". Ah, that'll be why.

All workshop jobs closed off at lunchtime today, they're cleaning today and painting the workshop floor tomorrow as it takes a couple of days to dry properly, only time of year we close long enough to do it.

The joy of retail at Xmas time. Tomorrow will be better still. I'm prepared though...

I actually quite enjoy christmas itself.
I just hate all the bks and commercialisation that goes with it.

Had a good christmassy day today with my youngest, we collected a secret santa present from the post office, wrapped all my OH's presents and then after lunch we watched a really stupid slapstick comedy on Lovefilm (the 3 stooges) cried with laughter at the incident with the lion and the peanut and we are now watching Paranorman.

The pork curry is on the hob. The place smells quite yummy, I might try bottling the air as some form of aftershave.

I'll give it a go, but was thinking more of a sprinkle cumin or paprika.
