Lighten the mood a little.
There's a Russian woman on Darts for Comic relief, whose name is so long it hardly fits on the back of her shirt.
She either needs a nickname or to eat more pies.

Fairly long even by Russian standards (remembering that women have longer surnames than men in Russia).
I'm not on good terms with darts after last night, ended up playing a quick doubles game in the pub with one of the best players in there, we got trashed 4-1 by my mate whose about as good as I am (not very) and the barmaid whose the luckiest bd ever to walk this earth as it turns out.
As a positive I've been informed tonight I'm going to Thorpe Park over the summer with a wench I know. Can't beat getting random messages like that.

Driving back from hospital visiting yesterday - 350 miles round trip using A303 rather than 400 using M4 & M5 - Mrs C came with me and we used her car. In the mirror there was water flying everywhere and I wondered if the rear valance had fallen off. There was a whiney noise that made me think the diff was on the way out. I realised we weren't going to get there and back on a tankful. Hold on! I get it. Winter tyres. Our first long run on the never-tried-before winter tyre shermozzle.
That's all it was.
Phew.

The doctor called in to see mum last Thursday. She's in a ward with eight beds most of which are occupied. Business concluded, he said goodbye and strode towards the door. At the door he stopped and called back, "If anything happens, would you prefer to be resuscitated or not?"
A little public, perhaps?
The man is a Hippocratic Oaf.

We have some awful Hospitals over here as well. Mrs Adenauer broke her foot over four weeks ago now, and has been wearing a special Aircast boot ever since. Every morning her foot is really sore and yesterday morning especially so.
I decided to take her back to Hospital to have it checked out. A different Doc was on duty and guess what? It's not bloody broken, she has torn ligaments on the top of her foot and the Aircast boot is putting pressure on them, hence the pain.
She just has a small bandage now and woke up this morning without any pain for the first time in over four weeks!
Ad, will you complain about the distress caused to Mrs Ad until the Adasecondopinion?
Thanks all for the thoughts about my mum. She has always stuck to her guns about preferring to go rather than years of poor quality of life. When she was asked so openly she felt sorry for the other ladies in the ward who mostly wish to hold on to life at any cost.
Tough on everyone.

I don't think so, it's a small hospital in Adenau and I wouldn't want to upset the apple cart. If it doesn't get better and there is lasting damage, well, then that's a different matter.

IME at least the worst I get in my dodgy right foot is a slight pain every few months for no more than 2 days at a time.If it doesn't get better and there is lasting damage, well, then that's a different matter.
If you or anyone else ever do your knees in, I'd recommend going to a different hospital by the sounds of it!
