Things I should have learned by now #No.159.

Do NOT open your toolbox on the ground underneath the automatic bilgepump outlet.

You turn that one on for when you want to drive 3 inches off the bumper of the car in front when motorway driving.

Yes, I've always wondered what they're for.

So, I've come out to the car and I'm looking at the switches. I'll see what the other one does.

Turning off the internal alarm sensor so you can leave a person/dog in the vehicle and their movement won't activate the alarm when you lock.

As I once forgot to do, leaving the wife in a locked car, alarm blaring in an underground car park in Paris. I was not popular...

That bad eh?

I do have a previous history of buying slightly odd cars. 1st march 2000 I picked up one of these

1.9jtd ELX in this colour.
I eventually sold it to a mates dad and he ran it until he died. The car died (and was cubed) shortly after he did, killed by a bearing failing in the rear beam that due to a fantastic piece of fiat design in putting an alloy housing into a steel beam (or the other way round I forget which) meant that the dissimilar metal corrosion had effectively welded it into place meaning a new beam was required which (even at trade price for my mechanic mate) cost more than the car was worth.
I only found out he had scrapped it when I was round at his garage one day and commented on this massive lump of an engine laid on the floor " oh yeah that was your multipla's)

Is it the Renegade? The guy next to me has a new Grand Cherokee every three or four years and thinks the Renegade is a proper chip-off-the-old-block Jeep and worthy of your most earnest consideration. That's not quite how he put it but rest assured he's all for it. He likes everything about Jeep: the cars, the people, the service, the deals you can get, everything.
