Tell us something really trivial about your life (vol 25)
Discussion
An old boss of mine retires on Friday and I won’t be able to get to London to wish him well at his farewell drink up. So I emailed yesterday explaining this and wishing him an enjoyable retirement and saying I would see him some time.
He just emailed back saying, “You had better make it quick, I retire on Friday.”
I heard that, pardon?

They get jealous yer know.
Morning.
Does your motor have the six speed box, pad? If so, have you discovered syncro on reverse yet?Morning.
I'm now in the habit of passing a parking space, slipping the car into reverse and using the clutch to stop the car and start reversing. From about 10 mph I'm talking about. It tickles me no end. By the feel of it, it would go in a lot faster but my mechanical sympathy is already being questioned.
That window thing doesn't work , but I have buttons that maybe need pressing.

Talking of st, the middle exhaust box I got ,doesn't fit.
st.
In my experience, any exhaust components can be made to fit with sufficent empty tins, Gun Gum and Jubille Clips.st.
I advise using a pair of tin snips for the tins. However, on the way to a camping holiday in the Range Rover, the exhaust came apart - jaysus, what a noise! I fixed it temporarily, on the camp site, using the method described above but, without tin snips, I had to fatigue break the tin cans needed. Back home I ordered the requisite exhaust parts and put the car in for MoT confident it would not only fail but also provide a list of jobs. It passed with my Heinz/Gun Gum exhaust. 1991 it was, they may have tightened up on things like that.
