The duality of George Clooney hawking coffee makers; the yang of me finding the adverts highly irksome is balanced by the yin of his using the money for something worthwhile.

Most of the money I make on the commercials I spend keeping a satellite over the border of North and South Sudan to keep an eye on Omar al-Bashir (the Sudanese dictator charged with war crimes at The Hague). Then he puts out a statement saying that I'm spying on him and how would I like it if a camera was following me everywhere I went and I go 'well welcome to my life Mr War Criminal'.

I'm trying to think of a film I've ever watched him in. I saw a bit of that Goat Whisperer thingy but turned over. What else has he done?

Oh yes, forgot that one. That used to be my job too. I met the lady skipper in real life as well. Seb's book is great but a dreadful film.

The Descendants was excellent. A real departure from normal Clooney typecast stuff.

How strange. Just switched to Beeb 2 and there is Clooney in Up In The Air. Never heard of it.

The Peacemaker is proper brain-out-of-gear explosions-fk-yeh nonsense, but Kidman squealing every 5 minutes gets a bit wearing. Excellent high speed barge action with Clooney in a S series(W140 I think) taking on goons in BMW 5 series and winning.

What are you on about, iva? It still works, doesn't it?

If it ain't broke and all that.

Anyway, we need it so rarely now that both lawnmowers are functioning correctly.

I'm glad we have the Ransomes/Ferrari Ride On back from GTO Engineering but wish Members would treat both mowers with respect. If they would stop racing them at every opportunity everything would be fine for the foreseeable future.

Based during the week in South Wales, I like to do a bit of exploring. With the lighter evenings I can broaden my horizons. I just searched for Pendine Sands.

Good, that's narrowed it down. It's either in the sea or in the sky.

I used to mow the lawns at a local marina. I managed to get the time for doing all 5 lawns down to 18.5mins. Never been beaten since they sold the triple blader.

The problem is that every time both mowers are available it's all too tempting to lay out a scaled down version of the Le Mans 24hr circuit on the old grass runway and then re-enact the great battles of the '60's. The Ford 427-engined Briggs & Stratton is a bit more lairy than the Ransomes-Fezza Special, which is how the course gets wider and wider in the corners as the day progresses.

It also explains the large number of finely sliced traffic cones in the store hangar.

An interesting story of how the marina was made from an old quarry.

Do the search again at low tide. It might prove more conclusive.
