[Impasse]

As I was at the petrol station this afternoon, a woman in a Focus clouted the other side of the pump's island with an almighty bang. She biffed the kerb with her NSF wheel with such a noise I thought the car's airbag had gone off. Scared the beejeebus out of me.

Once my brain had figured out what was going on my ears detected a "fpshhhhhh" sound while the woman restarted the engine. She drove off the forecourt with the "schlupp" noise only a completely flat tyre can make.

I paid for my fuel and left, only to spy her a short distance away in a bus stop looking at her wheel while speaking on her phone. Maybe I should have stopped to help, but that would go against decades of being self-centered...

That just looks confusing to me. Are they saying "the answer is not 6(exclamation mark)" or "the answer is not 6(factorial)" in which case it would be just plain old six.
