Are tattoos the latest version of council estate gold.

My main worry for the tattooed people is that they'll catch their death.
When the nights draw in and the weather turns nippy, most folk wrap up warm with a coat and a scarf.
Not the tattooed people. The tattooed people still wear cap sleeved t shirts and shorts with no socks so as to demonstrate their tattoedness to all.
Wrap up warm tattooed people, spring is just round the corner.
And also... I have a friend who, as a young man, adorned his body with Nazi insignia to demonstrate political views he held at that time.
I went on holiday with him and his wife once. If he took his shirt off, people spat at him. It was quite unnerving how a decision he had made 20 years before had such an extreme and continuing effect on his life.
His fascist leanings hadn't outlasted his teenage years.
Yes, we all show our tattoos off 100% of the time, apart from the majority that don't.When the nights draw in and the weather turns nippy, most folk wrap up warm with a coat and a scarf.

Another sweeping generalisation that shows blatant ignorance. (slow clap)

Because your opinion makes you appear a raging fkwit.
You're judging people purely on their appearance and making a sweeping generalisation.
So to be clear, you wouldn't look at someone that looked like this and make any kind of judgement at all based purely on her appearance? You're judging people purely on their appearance and making a sweeping generalisation.
Yeah, right!

The difference being that I look at her and I'm NOT making a sweeping judgement of everyone who falls into the same category, whereas most folks on here see ONE or TWO tattoo'd persons and thereby assume we all act/live like that.
The point is that dressing and looking like that instantly aligns her with a certain social class and intelligence level. Now the truth is that she could be a brain surgeon, a university professor or a successful professional cellist. We don't know. But we make an assumption and our experience shows that we stand a very good chance of being correct. Unfortunately, for all the 'how dare you judge us' outrage, visible tattoos fall into exactly the same category. Because tattoos are firmly aligned with a certain social class, those that have them are often judged in the same way as our anonymous, could be but probably not, lady cellist.
You can argue that it's not fair, people shouldn't be so judgemental, you don't care anyway, etc etc.
But for most people, as this thread has shown, visible tattoos do have quite negative connotations.

That's not what I am saying.Let's take Burberry print for example. Which was once a premium brand aimed squarely at the high end of the market. It has since been adopted, copied and used in a really distasteful way and now synonymous with shall we just say "the lower end of the market". I would imagine, that this has tarnished the value of the design, so is now less desirable by the wealthy?
I would suspect that quite a lot of genuine, clothing/accessories were kept in the wardrobe for a season or two during that dark period.

Saw a number of scripts with obvious spelling mistakes and/or glaring grammatical errors. Really wanted to point them out, but thought better of it.
Maybe people should worry less about other peoples appearance, habits and interests? I know all we PHers are pretty perfect well built CEOS, but how we do love to gaze down from our lofty steeds.Ari said:
Tattooed people are completely non judgemental? I never knew that.
Not to the same rabid, semi-hysterical extent that some people are towards those of us with tattoos. FFS, why would anybody be so bothered and hypercritical about something that has absolutely squat relevance or interest to them????
Why would the same tedious people repeatedly pop up on threads about tattoos, to say they hate tattoos, or at least have no interest in them? I don't like certain cars/musicians/presidents/author, but I never go on a thread about such a car/musicians/president/author to say I don't like them.
It seems the same with Harley Davidsons, people repeatedly crop up in Harley discussions, to casually slip in that they don't like Harleys..... Like anybody actually gives a shyte about their opinion.
